C., Charles E. and Judy S. Gusler of Vinton; grandchildren, Steven and Mike Gusler, David and Ann Marie Gusler, Brad Gusler. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2000, with Dr. William L. Ross officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 554, Roanoke, Va. 24003-0554. He had a few days previously complained of not feeling well, and had requested his parents and grandparents to pray for him, but there was apparently nothing about his physical condition to be alarming. He loved to attend school, was studious in his habits, fond of the teachers and student body, and in return highly esteemed by all. The Rev. Hugh T. Estes conducted his funeral at New Bethel Christain Church, and internment was made in the family cemetery, attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. He leaves a father, mother, sister, and his grandparents to lament his irretrievable loss.2 He was born on September 28, 1912 at Craig Co., Virginia.1,2 He died on April 1, 1926 at Craig Co., Virginia, at age 13.1,2

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lucy Dale and Dwight Paulette, of Blacksburg; three grandsons, Brent Stewart, Drew Paulette and Morgan Paulette; and soon to be granddaughter-in-law, Leah McGill, all of Blacksburg; a dear sister, Doris Carr and husband, Joe, of Bland; a sister at heart, Loretta Tickle and husband, Lester, of Pembroke; devoted niece, Linda Smith and husband, Gene, of New Castle; loving landlords, Allen and Jackie Linkous; and many other nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Interment will follow in Ross Cemetery, Craig County, Va. on January 5, 2008.5 She died on June 3, 2008 at Blacksburg, Virginia, at age 93.5,7
