Eddie Dean Simpkins was buried at Forest Hills Cemetery, Flatrock, Mason Co., West Virginia.³ He It is with great sadness that the family of Eddie Dean Simpkins (May 18, 1949 - May 09, 2018) announces his passing after a brief illness, Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the age of 68 years. Eddie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Ann; his children, Jackie (Jimmy) Freeman and Jeff (Kristen) Simpkins. Eddie will also be fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren, Hillary (Dewey) Wroten, Heather Freeman, Eric (Olivia) Freeman, Aaron Freeman, Jeffrey Simpkins, Lexi Simpkins, Shae-Ann Simpkins, Hayley Roberts, Chloe Roberts; two great-granddaughters, Lyla Rose Freeman and Marlow Ruth Wroten; and a new soon to be great-grandbaby, Maisie Grace Wroten. His siblings will greatly miss him as well, Debbie (Bobby) Law, Charles (Laura) Bonecutter, Rochelle Glassburn and Becky. Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Glen Simpkins; brother, Don Simpkins; mother Maxine Bonecutter; and also father John Bonecutter. He was a member of Willing Heart Church of Point Pleasant. Anyone who knew dad knew his love for music that he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Also, anyone who knew him knew that his grandchildren were his world. We would like to thank the staff of Pleasant Valley Hospital for the wonderful care that they gave to dad. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Roger Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart.³ He was born on May 18, 1949 at Mason Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He married Ann Unknown circa 1970.³ Eddie Dean Simpkins died on May 9, 2018 at West Virginia at age 68.³

"Cas" McNiel died on February 27, 1937 at Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 65.^4,6 He C. C. McNeil, 65-year-old retired mine foreman of Prosperity, died at his home Saturday from double pneumonia, following an illness of two weeks. Mr. McNeil served as foreman at Glen White for 14 years before he retired in 1932. He then moved to Prosperity where he built a home and lived until death. He was born in Floyd county, Va., on February 25, 1872, the son of Henry McNeil. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nancy Ann McNeil, of Prosperity; four brothers, Sam McNeil, James McNeil, Charles McNeil, and Bank McNeil, all of Terry Fork, Va; a sister, Mrs. Roy Vest, Chest, Va; a son, W. F. McNeil, of Glen White; and five daughters, Mrs. P. T. Sanford, Huntington; Mrs. Roy E. Light, Gatewood; Mrs. George Berry, Prosperity; Mrs. B. L. Ellison, Prosperity; and Mrs. Roy Lester, of Eccles. He leaves also 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Interment will be made in the Prosperity cemetery. on March 1, 1937.⁶

Her Social Security Number was 235-48-1937.⁵ Callie Mae McNeil Callie Mae Lester, 98, of Maxwell Hill, Beckley, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, following a short illness. Born Nov. 9, 1903, in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Casibanica and Nancy Smith McNeil. Mrs. Lester spent her childhood in southwestern West Virginia. She and her husband lived in several communities in southern West Virginia, moving to Detroit in 1953, She and her husband both retired from St. John's Hospital in Detroit in 1968. After retirement and a short stay in southern California, they returned to the Beckley area. Before moving to Michigan, she was a member of Harper Heights Missionary Baptist Church and after returning to Beckley she was a member of Maxwell Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. R. "Ray" Lester; two sons, Edward and Ronald lester; a daughter, Ovella Phebus; four sisters; and a brother. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include two daughters, Bernice L. Privett of Lancaster, Calif., and Janice K. Copus and her husband, Dick, of Sterling Heights, Mich; 12 grandchildren. 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren, scattered throughout California, Michigan and Washington state. She is also survived by a niece, Eva Jane Epperly of Fayetteville; and her faithful friends, Tommy and Evelyn Brown of Beckley. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.² She was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^2,6 She was born on November 9, 1903 at West Virginia.^1,5,2 As of circa 1919,her married name was Lester.⁷ She married Tidewell Raymond "Ray" Lester circa 1919.^4,7,2 Callie Mae McNeil died on December 11, 2001 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 98.^5,2

Born on December 7, 1943 at Summerlee, she was the daughter of the late Clifford L. and Evelyn Pritt Light. Mrs. Stone was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Fayetteville, and graduated from Fayetteville High School. She worked several years at the former Long-Airdox Company in the sales department and retired from the finance department at King Coal Chevrolet, both located in Oak Hill. She loved her dog, Gracie; she was a simple person, a hard worker, loved spending time with her family, and was raised at Gatewood. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Curtis Stone on August 24, 2013; brother, Clifford W. Light; sister, Rose Mary Barker; and infant brothers, Bobby and Billy Light. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Greg (Karen) Stone and Carl (Tammy) Stone; brother, Alfred D. (Maurice) Light; sister, Shirley A. (Jay) Fink; grandchildren, Brandon (Hannah) Stone, Lindsey Stone, Alexandrea Ferguson, and Bethany Stone; great-grandchildren, Jake Janney and Raelynn Stone; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Stanley Stone, and two sisters, Norma Humphreys, and Lavonive Lacy. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 52 years, Shelia Sue (Light) Stone; two sons, Carl Edward Stone and his wife Tammy of Greenbank WV, and Gregory Wayne Stone and his wife Karen of Lansing WV; four brothers, John D. Stone and his wife Virginia of Fayetteville, Franklin Delmont Stone and his wife Barbara of Clintonille, WV, Shirold Donzel Stone and his wife Carol of Oak Hill, Allen Stone and his wife Betty of Hometown WV; three sisters Genevieve Miller of Hurricane WV, Meredith Neal and her husband Hubert of Beckley, and Carol Sue Osborne of Chardin OH; four grandchildren, Brandon Stone, Lindsey Stone, Bethany Stone, and Alex Ferguson; one sister-in-law Dorothy Stone of Oak Hill; and “Gracie” his miniture snauzer. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.⁴ He was born on October 1, 1937 at Lizemores, Clay Co., West Virginia.^1,3,5,4 He married Shelia Sue Light, daughter of Clifford Liege Light and Evelyn Marie Pritt, on July 6, 1961 at Gatewood, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^1,2,4 George Curtis Stone died on August 24, 2013 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 75.^2,3,5,4

Hermel Newton "Jay" Fink Jr. was buried at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He Hermel N. "Jay" Fink, Jr., age 73, of Fayetteville, WV, passed away on February 12, 2022, at home with his family after a long illness. Born April 4, 1948, Jay was the son of Hermel N. Fink and Virginia Perry Fink, who preceded him in death. He was a proud U. S. Air Force veteran having served four years with the 49th Security Police Squadron at Spangdahlem AB, Germany, and Holloman AFB, New Mexico. He was a retired welder-mechanic who had worked for several mining equipment manufacturers and on coal preparation plants. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church at Fayetteville and last attended Minnie Belle Baptist Church at Corliss. He was a 1966 graduate of Fayetteville High School. Jay was a quiet man of integrity who loved his family fiercely and who was a good friend to many. He was also a little mischievous at times. Jay was married to his high school sweetheart, Shirley Light Fink, for 55 years. In addition to his loving wife, he leaves behind a dear son, Barry Jay Fink, of whom he was so proud, and Barry's wonderful wife, Amy Jo Fink; precious grandchildren, Bradley Jay Fink, Ryan Walker Fink, Jacob (Grace) Cogar, and Kaysie Cogar; great-grandchildren, Cole Cogar and Regan Cogar, all of the Fayetteville area; special niece and nephews Robin Drake of Gassaway, WV, Carl Stone of Oak Hill, WV, and Greg Stone of Lansing, WV; brothers-in-law, Alfred (Maurice) Light of Buhl, Alabama, and Dwayne Barker of Green Bank, WV; several other nieces and nephews; and, many friends. Burial will be in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, on Pea Ridge Road, Oak Hill, WV. The family would like to thank Dr. E. J. Salon and the many other medical providers and second floor nursing staff at Raleigh General Hospital for the care of their dear loved one during his recent hospital stay.² He was born on April 4, 1948.^3,2 He married Shirley Ann Light, daughter of Clifford Liege Light and Evelyn Marie Pritt, circa 1967.^1,2 Hermel Newton "Jay" Fink Jr. died on February 12, 2022 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 73.^3,2
