He was retired from Mennell Milling Company and was a long time member of Poages Mill Church of the Brethren. He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Ruby Woods Light; his children, Richard and Ruby Light of Albuquerque, N.M., Claralyn Holland of Cincinnati, Ohio, Judy and Douglas Pardue of Charleston, S.C., Melody Hurt of Roanoke, Va., Edward Light of Salem, Va., Cherrie and Barry Holland of Roanoke, Va; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rachel Light Mills of Salem, Va., and Christine Light Grisso of Roanoke, Va; and many loved nieces and nephews. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. The Rev. E.B. Shoemaker and the Rev. Horace Light will officiate. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park in Boones Mill. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Poages Mill Church of the Brethren, 6550 Bent Mountain Road, S.W., Roanoke, Va., 24018. The family expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Michael Koch for always being there with excellent medical care and neighborly love. She was a member of Poages Mill Church of the Brethren, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Ruby was a proud mother and loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Light; son, Richard Light; three brothers; and one sister. Ruby is survived by her children, Claralyn Holland, Judy Pardue (Doug), Melody Hurt, Edward Light, and Cherrie Holland (Barry), 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boones Mill. on October 20, 2020.2

Braun on December 19, 1882 at Morgan Co., Illinois.4 William Howard "Will" Gray married Catherine E. "Caddie" Falkner on November 29, 1892 at Jerseyville, Jersey Co., Illinois.6,5 William Howard "Will" Gray died on August 20, 1924 at Decatur, Macon Co., Illinois, at age 77.3,6 He William H. Gray died at 11:45 o'clock Wednesday night at his home, 425 North First street. He was eighty-two years old. His death was caused by the infirmities of old age and complications. He had been ill for the last two years. Mr. Gray was born near Rochester, N. Y., Aug. 1, 1842. He came with his parents to Illinois in 1860, and for many years lived in Jacksonville. For the last thirty-two years he had resided in Decatur, all that time in the same neighborhood. For fifty years he was a traveling salesman for the McCormick Harvester and Binder company in this territory. He was well known throughout central Illinois and had many friends. He and Miss Catherine Falkner were marrried in Jerseyville, Ill., Nov. 28, 1892. He is survived by his wife and two children, Edward S. Gray of Decatur and Mrs. C. W. Frederick of Winchester, Ill. There are also three grand-children. He also leaves a brother, J. V. Gray, and a sister, Miss Elizabeth Gray, both of Yakima, Wash. He was a member of the Methodist church in Decatur. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the family residence, conducted by Rev. H. F. Powell of St. Paul's Methodist church. The burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery. on August 21, 1924.6

Gray of Memence, Ill., survive. Shaw & Webb has charge of funeral arrangements on January 17, 1933.7
