Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, 10 a.m. May 28, 1998 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. William E. Hungate officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family residents and after 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. on May 24, 1998.3

He is survived by six children and spouses, Roger and Elizabeth Ferguson of Vinton, Patricia and Mike Bouvier of Roanoke, Martha and Jim Reid of Wirtz, Louise and Fred Perdue of Roanoke, Donald and Sandra Ferguson of Stewartsville, Betty and Gary Jones of Vinton; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with graveside military rites by the U.S. Army. on June 8, 2002.4

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Vonice Poff Weddle; two sons, Lucky Weddle and Johnny Weddle; one daughter, Miss Jenny Weddle all of Roanoke; his mother, Mrs. Betty Weddle and father, Vance Weddle of Roanoke; two brothers, Tom Weddle of Roanoke and Joseph Weddle of Hollywood, Fla; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Finch, Mrs. Barbara Whorley and Mrs. Jean Cook, all of Bedford, Mrs. Julie Stafford, Mrs. Nancy Kerns and Mrs. Louise Reed, all of Roanoke, and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on January 2, 1975.4
