In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, William Berkley Taylor III and wife, Elizabeth, of Madison Heights; three daughters, Sheila Austin and husband, Steve, of Madison Heights, Jackie Stanley and husband, Kenneth, of Culpeper, and Barbara Ragland and husband, Doug, of Forest; a stepson, John M. Cash of Williamsburg; two stepdaughters, Rebecca C. Dean and Barbara Clodfelter, both of Lynchburg; a sister, Nettie Harris of Gladstone; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, "Snoopy." He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2009, at Driskill Funeral Chapel, Amherst, (434) 946-5529, with Dr. Timothy D. Hazlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Amherst Cemetery with Masonic rites by the Clinton Lodge #73 AF and AM of Amherst. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 451, Amherst, VA 24521.
