He is survived by his wife, Margaret Page Lester; two sons, Lawrence (Larry) Wesley Lester Jr. and wife, Teresa, and Johnny Nelson Lester and wife, Billie; one stepson, Neal Page, all of Roanoke; one sister, Nona Crouse; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Saunders and Merrell Lester; and a special brother- in-law, Johnny Sykes, of Virginia Beach. Also surviving are four grandchildren, David Cory, John Wesley and wife, Judy, Robert Nelson and wife, Andrea, and Suzanne Owens and husband, Greg; six great- grandchildren, Ian, Taylor, Jesse, Jenna, Chase, and Chance; and several nieces and nephews. Pop Lester proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, and saw action while stationed at Pearl Harbor. He was a finish carpenter by trade and had a true passion for working with wood. He attended Clearbrook Baptist Church and loved the congregation there. Services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Ave. at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Pastor Olander (Red) English, retired pastor of Clearbrook Baptist Church, and Pastor Bryan Ratliff assisting will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Clearbrook Baptist Church Missions or Benevolence Funds, 5219 Singing Hills Road, Roanoke, VA 24014. on October 21, 2011.3

Reggie was a hardworking provider who enjoyed working with his hands. He made his living as a talented mechanic specializing in Volkswagens before retiring from First Team Auto in Roanoke. He was also a skilled craftsman creating furniture and decor in his home workshop for friends and family. Reggie was gifted in many trades and used his carpentry skills to improve his home and those of his children. He was an involved member of his community, volunteering as an EMT with the Shawsville Rescue Squad where he was made a lifetime member.      Terry Allen Conner was born on December 29, 1960 at West Virginia.2 He married Michelle Annette Tinsley, daughter of Donald Eugene "Don" Tinsley and Carol Ann Stamper, on October 14, 1988 at Roanoke, Virginia.3,2 Terry Allen Conner died on June 11, 2004 at age 43; Comitted suicide by gunshot.1 He Terry Allen Conner, 43, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 11, 2004. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty K. Conner; a step brother, Jason King; and grandparents, Laura and Delvin Osbourne. Terry was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for hunting, fishing, and Nascar racing. He was proud of his family and the fact that he successfully operated his own business. Surviving is his wife, Michelle Tinsley Conner; son, Cody Allen Conner of the home; father and stepmother, Reggie and Kathy Conner; stepbrother, Jeff King; stepsister, Amy King, all of Shawsville; mother-in-law, Carol Tinsley, Roanoke; father-in-law, Donald Tinsley and wife Linda, of Vinton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis and Peggy Tinsley, Carl and Susan Walters, Pamela Tinsley; special nephew, Hunter Walters; other nieces and a nephew, Faith, Chelsea and Chase Tinsley; special uncle, Charlie Tinsley; and a number of other aunts, uncles, and cousins. on June 13, 2004.1
