     Bonnie Rose Wilson Bonnie Rose Wilson, April 02, 1953 - January 22, 2022. Bonnie Rose Wilson, age 68, of Mt. Airy, NC, passed away on January 22, 2022, at Surry Community Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born and raised in Floyd, Virginia to the late William Theodore and Shirley Conner Wilson. Bonnie was a sweet and special soul who overcame many physical challenges throughout her life. She is loved dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by four sisters, Mary Nester and Beulah Correll, (Clyde) of Floyd, VA; Marie Bolt, (Jesse), of Mt. Airy, NC; Ruby Harter, (Bill) of Basset, Virginia; a brother, Percy Wilson, (Phyllis), of Pilot Point Texas and a sister-in-law Scottie Wilson of Lewisville, NC and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Wilson.1 She was born on April 2, 1953 at Roanoke, Virginia.7,2 She died on January 22, 2022 at Mount Airy, Surry Co., North Carolina, at age 68.1

Mr. Wilson was born and grew up in Floyd County, Virginia and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Wilson retired from a career in telecommunications with 41 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking and yard work, but most of all he loved being with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and Pa. Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Scottie Bowman Wilson; three daughters, Shannon Taylor (Tim), Ashleigh Hicks, and Kristen Smith (Rodney); six grandchildren, Madeline Hicks, MacKenzie Taylor, Carson Taylor, Chase Taylor, Aiden Smith, and Camden Smith; five sisters, Mary Nester of Floyd, VA, Beulah Correll (Clyde) of Floyd, VA, Ruby Harter (Bill) of Bassett, VA, Marie Bolt (Jesse) of Mt. Airy, and his special, sweet sister Bonnie Wilson of Mt. Airy; brother, Percy Wilson (Phyllis) of Pilot Point, TX; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and special friends. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Eberle, Dr. Timothy Collins, Dr. Dawn Moose and the staff at the Derrick L. Davis Regional Cancer Center; Trellis Supportive Care, especially Amber, Emily, and Santiago for the exceptional care they gave Mr. Wilson. A special thank you to Yolanda Carrington for her sweet tender care in the last few weeks.      Jesse Anderson Bolt Jr. Mr. Jesse Anderson Bolt, Jr., 87, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 9, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forst Baptist in Winston-Salem. Mr. Bolt was born August 25, 1936, in Floyd County, VA, one of five children born to the late Jesse Anderson Bolt, Sr. and Arlena Belle Sutphin Bolt. Jesse served our country in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960, and then he served in the Army Reserves until 1964. He retired as a lieutenant from the Mount Airy Police Department in 1995 after 30 years of service and was a member of Shelton Church of the Brethren. He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Bolt Pugh of Mount Airy; two grandsons, Justin Landry of Mount Airy and Brandon Landry of Ponchatoula, LA; a sister, Vera Parsons of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bolt was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Marie Wilson Bolt; a daughter, Margaret Ann Bolt; two sisters, Hazel Bolt Yeatts and Vivian Bolt Bolt; and a brother, Edward Bolt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Tammy Harter Terry and Penny Harter; sister, Frances Harter Cochram; and brother, Freeman Harter. He worked at Stanley Furniture for over forty years as a sander, and was a member of Collinsville Covenant Brethren Church. He never met a stranger and always welcomed everyone with open arms. He loved his grandchildren, was light hearted and joked a lot. He enjoyed watching westerns and doing word puzzles. He loved sitting on the porch with his dog Suzy, watching the cars go by. Billy is survived by his wife, Ruby Wilson Harter; son, Tony Harter (Angel); sister, Rachel Heffinger; brother, Bobby Harter (Charlotte); grandchildren, Anna Terry, Valery H. Jacobson (Josh), Emma H. Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne and Buck Yeatts of Copper Hill and Mary Smith of Midlothian; five brothers, Robert Smith, R. B. Smith and Ray Smith, all of Copper Hill, Sam Smith and Herbert Smith of Roanoke; two sisters, Myrtle Curran of Clearwater, Fla. and Ocie Smith of Titusville, Fla; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Interment will follow in Restvale Cemetery. on April 4, 2005.4

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with the Rev. Harry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery, in Athens. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
