The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday night 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 2, 1 p.m. at First Evangelical Methodist Church, with the Rev. Travis Oswald and the Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.

Tate, all of Salem; Harold Tate of Annandale, Va. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at the Green Hill Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Dee Flory officiating. Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. on April 2, 1991.2

Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Roanoke. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2002, at 11 a.m., at the John M. Oakey & Son Salem Funeral Home with Elder Thomas Mann officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 21, 2002, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou and Roman Lawrence. Surviving are his wife, Jean Crews Lawrence; stepsons, Chris and wife, Michelle, and Travis and wife, Courtney, daughter, Ginger Harger; brother, O'Neal and wife, Margaret; and five very special grandchildren, Erin Jones, Crews Jones, Rhyann Jones, Layne Jones and Draven Harger. Leland grew up in Salem and worked at Gardner Denver, and later retired from Graham White Machine Shop in Salem, where he still worked two days a week until recently. Since retirement, his hobby has been working to restore his 1969 Ford Pickup. Leland enjoyed his church family at Southview United Methodist Church, and his family wants to thank all of them for the love and support they have given during his battle with cancer. In addition to his church family, the family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Mark Currie and the nurses at the Infusion Center for their many acts of kindness and compassion. Leland was a quiet and lovable person who was well respected by his family and friends. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on October 24, 2012.4
