Hope was a devoted wife, mother, and a tremendous grandmother. She loved to laugh, play tennis, and enjoyed her overseas travels with Don, but nothing superseded her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Whether while living in Paducah, KY, High Point, NC, or Vero Beach, FL, she was always active in church and loved singing in the church choir, and her life reflected her faith. on June 14, 2024.²

He was a former manager of Blue Jay Lumber Co. and ran a small grocery and confectionery at Beaver from 1939 until the early 1960s. A charter member of the First Church of God on South Valley Drive, he was also a Sunday school teacher. Survivors include one daughter, Pauline at home; two sons, Karl of Daniels and Kermit of Beaver; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His wife, Prudence J. Okes, preceded him in death in 1948. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Calfee Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Clyde McClure, Harold Ward, James D. Robinson, S. L. Ramsey, H.H. Meador and Bud Bennett. on December 29, 1976.^5,4
