She was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church of Whitesburg, a member of the Woman's Missionary Union and the Ladies Bible Sunday School Class. She retired from the Oak Ridge Atomic Energy Laboratory. She is survived by: her sister, Ruth Simpson Patton of Whitesburg; one sister-in-law, Ruby Simpson of Greeneville; lifetime friend, Eva Russell of Whitesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services and interment will be on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethesda Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Active pallbearers: John Roberts, Roe Eldridge, Clifford Sopshier, Mac Cook, William Roberts, Buddy Stiner, Alex Stiner, Joshua Stiner and Eric Stiner. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the First Baptist Church of Whitesburg and the members of the Ladies Bible Sunday School Class of the church. The Takerna Transitional Care Doctors and Staff of Greeneville and the Hertiage Nursing Center Staff of Morristown. on August 10, 2005.3

Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Amos Wade and her son, Samuel Edward Wade. Services were held March 24 at Kaufman Funeral Home in Elkridge. Interment was in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
