Hutchens and wife, Janice, all of Waynesboro, Va; sisters-in-law, Christine Carr and husband, Arthur, of Athens and Gearldine Lilly of Montcalm; special friend, Nancy Lilly of Beckley; 17 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and stepgrandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring Chapel, with Mr. Irby Hutchens Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hutchens Cemetery, Dunns.      Alice Mary May Hutchens Alice M. Hutchens Delp age 90 of Beckley, WV passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Columbia, SC. Born on February 17, 1929 at Dunns, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Hutchens and Lelia Laverna Conner Hutchens. Mrs. Delp was a former employee of Maidenform in Princeton, WV, and later devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was a graduate of Spanishburg High School in 1947, and was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Mrs. Delp enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crafts in her spare time. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Alfred Delp, by sisters: Viada (Lincoln) Lilly, Pemel (Joe) Lilly, Reva (Paul) Hewitt, Dolores (James) Barton; brothers: Charles Vernon Hutchens, Roy (Jean) Hutchens, and Ellsworth(Eva) Hutchens. Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her Children: Susan Delp of Columbia, SC, Kimberly Elkins and husband Dan of Columbia, SC, David Delp and wife Susan of Cool Ridge, WV, and Alfred Delp and wife Tisa of Manning, SC. Grandchildren: Zachery and Tyler Elkins of Columbia, SC, Jonathan Delp and wife Elisabeth of Lexington, SC, David Andrew Delp and wife Christy of Grandview, WV, Joseph Elkins of Columbia, SC, and Tesa Bontrager and husband David of Eagle River, WI; Great-grandchilden: Madison, Riley Grace, Matthew Parker Delp, Baylor Delp (and sibling on the way), Bethalyn, Lily and Lance Bontrager; a great-great grandchild, Malakai Bontrager. Surviving siblings: John Hutchens and wife Janice of Waynesboro, VA, and Christalee Lynn and husband Chuck of Salem, VA. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Thursday March 14, 2019 at noon. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
