Willis of Easton, Pa; two brothers-in-law, Claude R. Collins of Roanoke and Clyde E. Collins of Christiansburg, Va; and several cousins. Mr. Willis served the following United Methodist Churches: Grace, Zion Grace, Christ in Norfolk, Va., Bassett Memorial in Bassett, Va., Main Street in South Boston, Va., Haygood in Virginia Beach, Va. After his retirement, he was Assistant Pastor of St. Paul, Christiansburg, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at Oakey's North Chapel, 6732 Peters Creek Road, NW, Roanoke, on Monday, December 16, 2002, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roy P. White officiating. A graveside service will be held in Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, Va. on Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at 1 p.m. His desire was to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roanoke United Methodist Home Samaritan Fund, 1009 Old Country Club Road, NW, Roanoke, Va. 24017 or to a favorite charity. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's North Chapel and Crematory (362-1237). on December 13, 2002.⁸

Jones was born on August 5, 1916.² She died on October 1, 1992 at Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 76.¹ She RINER - Elizabeth Jones Vest, age 76, passed away Thursday, October 1, 1992, in Montgomery Regional Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Joann E. Britt of Christiansburg; Mrs. Ward (Dolly) Harmon of Bassett; one son, Bobby W. Jones of Riner; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 3, 1992, at 11:00 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will in in White Oak Grove Church Cemetery.      Neil Edward Roberson Neil E. Roberson, 75, of Vinton, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. He was born in Roanoke, June 12, 1945, son of the late Victor and Cuba Roberson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Matt. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Julie; daughter Amy Cline; son-in-law, Lewis Cline; grandchildren Cody and Emily Cline; brother, Wayne Roberson; brother-in-law, John Cox (Kathy); sister-in-law, Linda Flippo. Also surviving are numerous nephews, nieces, other family members and friends; close friend Bill McConnell. The Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney S. Hylton Sr. and Lorena Coleman Hylton; husband, Charles V. Deweese; sons, Gary Deweese, Kenneth Deweese; brothers, Ray Hylton, Marvin Hylton, and Sidney Hylton Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Jerry Long of Floyd; son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Mary Deweese of Bramwell, W.Va; brother, George Hylton of Hiwassee; sisters and brother-in-law, Thelma and Joe Smith of Floyd, Janet Young of Anchorage, Alaska; one grandson; two great-granddaughters; special niece, Bonnie Smith and husband Daryle; special adopted granddaughter, Martha Turpin.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Lackey officiating. Interment to follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Critical Care Unit at NRV Medical Center. on June 10, 2013.²

She was the widow of Harvey Jacob DeWeese and a former staff member at Country Bear Day Care Center. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gladys and Marvin Belcher, East Bend, N.C., Juanita DeWeese, Roanoke, Marcia and David McGee, Roanoke; a son and daughter-in-law, Harvey Blair and Susie DeWeese, Roanoke; four grandchildren, Melissa Hammond, Gloria Stevens, Crystal DeWeese, Samantha McGee; a great-grandson, Jacob Hammond; a brother, Sidney St.Clair, Montvale; three sisters, Mary Hall, Beckley, W.Va., Eunice Clark, Crab Orchard, W. Va. and Irene Pigg, Santa Clara, Calif. A memorial service will be conducted 3 p.m. Tuesday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, with Dr. Darryl G. Crim officiating. Burial will be private.
