Active pallbearers were her grandsons; S. S. Carr, C. P. Carr, A. C. Carr, Edward Young, Harry Young, Jr., and her son H. W. King. The flower girls were her grandchildren.      James Edward "Ed" Angel was buried at Virginia Memorial Park, Forest, Bedford Co., Virginia.^1,6 His Social Security Number was 224-22-0436.⁷ He was born on March 9, 1927 at Bedford Co., Virginia.^7,1,3,5 He married Almeta Fern Craghead, daughter of Ellet James Craghead and Bessie Irene Conner, on October 16, 1948 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^8,1,2 James Edward "Ed" Angel died on March 21, 2011 at Bedford, Bedford Co., Virginia, at age 84.^1,7,4 He James Edward (Ed) Angel, 84, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Carriage Hill Retirement Home. He was born on Wednesday, March 9, 1927, in Bedford County, a son of the late Augustus M. Angel and Nellie E. Witt Angel. He was a retired employee of Wheelabrator Corporation where he was Plant Superintendent, was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy, a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #1897, and B.P.O. Elks Lodge #321. Following Ed's retirement, he was employed as a funeral assistant at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Surviving is his wife, Almeta Craghead Angel; three daughters, Sandra F. Angel and husband, Keith Campbell, of Bedford, Brenda A. Phillips and husband, Bob, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Sherry A. Marker, of Granger, Ind; a son, Mark E. Angel, of Roanoke; three sisters, Audrey A. Witt and Emily A. Citty, both of Bedford, and Rachel A. Coward, of Covington, La; a brother, Allen M. Angel, of Lynchburg; as well as 10 grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. on March 23, 2011.¹

     Maxine Kay Periman was buried at Thaxton Baptist Church Cemetery, Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ She was born on November 21, 1940 at Galena, Stone Co., Missouri.¹ She married Paul David Craghead, son of Ellet James Craghead and Bessie Irene Conner, on December 4, 1959 at Coloma, Jackson Co., Missouri.^1,2,3 As of December 4, 1959,her married name was Craghead. Maxine Kay Periman died on May 9, 2004 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 63.^1,4 She Maxine Kay Craghead, 63, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2004. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Craghead Beeler, her parents, Clifford and Lillie Vanfossen Periman, seven brothers and two sisters. Surviving is her husband, Paul Craghead; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Stephen Rotton of Westminster, Maryland; four grandchildren, Curtis and Kendra Rotton, Daniel and Andrew Beeler of Cleveland, Tennessee. Maxine was born at Galena, Missouri on November 21, 1940. She moved to Virginia after her husband's retirement from the Tennessee Valley Athority. A graveside service will be conducted in Thaxton Baptist Church Cemetery. on May 10, 2004.¹
