Mrs. Phlegar was born at New Castle, Va. on November 20, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Haden and Willie Craft Sublett. She was a Medical Technician with 40 years of service. She was a member of the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Archie G. Phlegar of Blacksburg; two sons, Archie G. Phlegar, Jr., of Huntington, W.Va; Charles David Phlegar of Charlotte, N.C; one daughter, Beth Dixon of Charlottesville, Va; one sister, Jenny Mae Caldwell of New Castle, Va; five grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, April 4, 1992 at 11:00 a.m. in the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. D. Cameron Murchison, Jr. officiating. Private burial will be in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers friends may send memorials to the building fund of the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church or the church of your choice. Givens Funeral Home of Pearisburg is in charge of arrangements.
