Poff, Jeffery T. and Monica Poff, and Paul Dana Poff; a daughter, Vickie Poff; grandchildren, Sara Marie Poff, Amber Nicole Poff, Robert T. Poff, Christopher Lewis Poff; sisters, Bonnie Linkous and Lillian Slusher; and numerous extended family and friends. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. The family will receive friends at the John M. He was a Boy Scout, and a very active participant and fan of sports. "Woody" was a fixture in Roanoke Valley softball leagues for many years, and loved the game of golf. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2009, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Pastor Hilton Jeffreys officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial tributes be made in his name to the American Heart Association. on October 13, 2009.3
