Deceased had been in poor health for a long time and this was no doubt responsible for the rash act. Emory E. Felton was born on the G.A. Felton homestead April 25, 1875, and was 51 years and 28 days old at the time of his death. He was a member of the Christian church. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and thirteen-year-old son Edwin, the aged father and mother, six sisters: Mrs. Alice Adamson, Wauneta; Mrs. Zella Overton, Clay Center; Mrs. Jennie Humerickhouse and Mrs. Bereta Ruhga, Nelson; Mrs. Stella Kay, Marsland; and Mrs. Sarah Moore, New Raymer, Colorado; all of whom were present at the funeral services which were held at the Christian church in Angus at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Shook officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery at Edgar. on May 27, 1926.9

Alice Anna Felton was buried at Eden Cemetery (also known as Wauneta Cemetery), Wauneta, Chase Co., Nebraska.3,7,2 She was born on April 16, 1876 at Angus, Nuckolls Co., Nebraska.5,8,7,2 She married Eugene Stanley Adamson on June 2, 1898.3,5,2 As of June 2, 1898,her married name was Adamson. Alice Anna Felton died on February 16, 1952 at Wauneta, Chase Co., Nebraska, at age 75.3,8,7,2 She Alice Anna, daughter of George and Anna Felton, was born in a log house on her father's homestead in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, on April 16, 1876. She departed this life at her home near Wauneta, Nebr., on Feb. 16, 1952, at the age of 75 years and 10 months. She was the oldest daughter in a family of ten children. When a young girl her fellowship was placed with the Ox Bow Christian church and when that church was moved to Angus her membership remained with it. Mrs. Adamson was still a member of the Angus church at the time of her death. Mrs. Adamson took some college work at the old Fairfield college and taught school at the Red Line school west of Nelson. On June 2, 1898, she was united in marriage to Stanley Adamson of Nora. To this union where born four daughters, all of whom survive and live near the present family home. Mr. and Mrs. Adamson moved from Nuckolls county (sic) 34 years ago to a farm near Wauneta. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary on June 2, 1948 at their country home. Although the last days of her life were filled with much physical pain, she suffered patiently. She was a faithful wife, a kind mother and her grandchildren were the delight of her life. She was preceeded in dead, by: one grandson, Lloyd Beezley, her parents; two sisters and three brothers. Surviving to mourn her death are: her husband, Stanley; four daughters, Florence Maris of Wauneta, Mildred Beezley of Hamlet, Fern Peters of Wauneta, and Lila Prior of Palisade; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Zella Overton of Clay Center, Nebr., Mrs. Sarah Moore of Pueblo, Col; Mrs. Jennie Humerickhouse of Grand Junction, Colo., and Mrs. Stella Kay of Crawford, Nebr. Funeral services were conducted from the Eden Missionary church near Wauneta and about one miles from the Adamson home on Tuesday, Febr. 19. Ezra Zimmerman, former minister of the Eden church and close friend of Mrs. Adamson, read Scripture and offered prayer. Glen Moore, head of Lamar, Nebr., read the obituary. The sermon was given by Don DeBord of Angus. Burial was in the Eden Missionary cemetery in the church yard. on February 28, 1952.2

Rev. Loren Daly, minister of the Angus Church of Christ, officiated. Pall bearers were Herbert Peters, Warren Grossman, Clair Weinman, Homer Melvin, Roy Burkett and Kenneth Grossman. A resident of the Angus community when her first husband, Emery Felton was living, she had many friends in that community. Mr. Felton died in 1926. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Benson of Lincoln, and a son, Emery Felton of Green River, Wyo. Burial was in the Edgar cemetery. on March 9, 1961.6

Her family moved to Brush when she was 2 years old. Later, the family moved to Fort Morgan, where she attended school until her sophomore year. They moved to Greeley, where she attended two years of school. Then they moved back to Fort Morgan, where she finished school in 1932. In 1934, she married Edwin Emory Felton in Greeley. They were high school sweethearts. They lived in Greeley until 1938. Then they lived in several places in Colorado and Wyoming, while Mr. Felton worked for Swift & Co. as a traveling salesman. They were living in Evanston, Wyo., when Mr. Felton was called to serve in World War II in 1941. Mrs. Felton and their daughter, Peggy Ann, moved back to Greeley. She worked for the city of Greeley until 1945 when her husband came home from the service. The family moved back to Green River, Wyo. Their son, James Robert Felton, was born in 1948. The children went to school in Green River. Mrs. Felton was active in school activities. She was president of Woman's Club, a member of Women's Golf Club, which she enjoyed, leader of a Girl Scout Troop, teacher of Sunday school class and chairman of the board of trustees of Union Congregation Church. A homemaker, Mrs. Felton loved to sew, crochet, quilt, garden and spend time with her family. In 1971, Mrs. Felton and her husband moved back to Greeley. Mr. Felton died May 29, 2002. Mrs. Felton died Tuesday in Greeley. Survivors: A daughter, Peggy Ann Schauerman and husband Gale of Loveland; a son, James Robert Felton and wife Pamela of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Robin and Jim Scritchfield, both of Estes Park, Richard Schauerman of Cañon City, Danell Fisher and husband George of Arizona, Kimberly Penatzer of Georgia, Jamie Williams and husband Justin of Arizona, and Lynsey Felton, also of Arizona; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: Her husband, her parents, three brothers and four sisters. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Stoddard Funeral Home. Cremation. Inurnment: Linn Grove Cemetery, Greeley. on September 21, 2007.2
