     Byron Lee Sink Byron Lee Sink, 38, of Lexington, Virginia died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia. He was born October 30, 1980 in Des Plaines, Illinois, the son of Larry Alonza Sink, Sr. and Frieda Mae Conner Sink Corpuz. Byron was formerly employed as a custodian at Food Lion. He was a loving son and uncle who was both funny and heartwarming. He is survived by his parents; brother, Larry Alonza Sink, Jr. of Roanoke; sister, Laura Jean Sink of Craigsville; adopted sister, Summer Skye Corpuz of Elgin, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews. Byron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alonza and Mary Francis Sink.2 He was born on October 30, 1980 at Des Plaines, Cook Co., Illinois.2 He died on February 26, 2019 at Fishersville, Augusta Co., Virginia, at age 38.2

Kitty was born July 6, 1944 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Clyde M. Welch, Sr. and Annie Mae Bowyer Welch. Kitty was married to Ronnie A. Link. She was a bookkeeper for Don's Roofing and Sheet Metal. She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde M. Welch, Sr; and a very special son, Jimmy Gene (Diamond) Link. She enjoyed planting outdoor flowers, reading, painting and ceramics. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Annie M. Welch of Hardy; her husband, Ronnie A. Link; and a loving son, Darrell W. Link, both of Roanoke. Also surviving is her loving brother, Clyde M. Welch, Jr. of Hardy, Va; three loving sisters, Margaret and her husband, Don "Ducky" Furrow of Roanoke County, Josephine and husband, Kenneth "Chubby" Overstreet of Roanoke and Myrtle M. and her husband, Robert Tate of Hardy; as well as a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and special friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Roanoke Chapel of Lotz Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Jeff Gardner. Surviving are his wife, Mary; three sons, Emerson of Crab Orchard, Emmett of Beckley and Buren of Stanaford; one daughter, Mrs. Violet Harrah of Stanaford; three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Guilllams of Stanaford, Miss Annie Cole and Mrs. Vergilia Johnson, both of Lanark; and four brothers, Carl of Buckley, Pierce of Elliot and Lon and Roy, both of Ramsey. Service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Stanaford Church of Christ with Rev. Vernon Mullins and Rev. Clifton Inman officiating. Burial will be in Stanaford Cemetery. The body is at Quesenberry and Webb mortuary in Beckley and will be taken to the residence at 6 p.m. today. on March 22, 1955.5

The funeral will be conducted at Combs Funeral Home Chapel in Gauley Bridge at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Roy Kessler and the Rev. Wesley Pennington in charge. Burial will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens at Ansted. The body will remain at the funeral home. on April 7, 1964.7

Troopers said Mrs. Annie Cole was manually strangled to death and stabbed in the stomach. Death was caused by strangulation. An autopsy indicated she had been sexually abused, state police said. Her half-clothed body was found by members of a search party organized before noon Sunday when the woman didn't show up to clean up a church where she was employed. Mrs. Cole was a member of the church of Christ at Stanaford. Service will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Freddie Dinkier officiating. Burial will be in Stanaford. Surviving: brother, Roy Cole of Clyde, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Clara Guilliams of Stanaford. The body is at Rose-Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beekley, and will be taken to the church an hour before the service. Friends may call after 5 p.m today. on December 13, 1972.3

Additional survivors include tlis wife, Mrs. Bessie Bonds Cole of Crab Orchard; one stepson, Alex Joe Fernandez of Crab Orchard; one brother, Buren of Amarillo, Tex; one sister, Mrs. Violet Cole Harrah, also of Amarillo; and two stepgrandchildren. The body will remain at the Melton Mortuary where friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday, and will be removed to the church one hour prior to services. Pallbearers will be C. K. Bonham, Don Bonhain, Marty Bowers, Vergil Riffe, W. W. (Bill) Graham, C. T. McKenzie, and Roscoe McRinney. on May 10, 1969.9

Cole was a salesman for the Snap-on-Tool Company. He had previously worked several years for the New River Company at Stanaford. Cole was born at Lanark on April 10, 1908. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. May Ellen Cole of Stanaford; his widow, Mrs. Macy Cole at home; two brothers, Emerson of Crab Orchard and Buren of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Violet Harrah, of Amarillo, Texas; two sons, Jimmy of Los Angeles, Calif, and Fred of Baltimore, Md; five daughters, Mrs. Rosemary Shank, Mrs. Bonnie King, and Mrs. Margaret Miller, all of Modesto, Calif; and Phyllis and Dreama Cole, both at home; and eight grandchildren. The body is at the Webb and Neal Funeral Home. Arrangements are incomplete. on October 15, 1959.4
