(Tom) Sowers , Floyd; four step-children, Neil Sowers , Roanoke, Steve Sowers , Hillsville, Junior Sowers , Floyd and Teresa Richardson, Hillsville; seven step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild; one niece, Mrs. Donald (Brenda Slusher) Hylton, Floyd; several great and great-great nieces. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery. on February 9, 1999.²

He enjoyed collecting nautical and martial arts memorabilia. His major accomplishment was teaching and impacting the lives of those he touched. Karen Elaine Compton of Ft. Irwin, Calif; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne is also survived by many friends and two special friends, Henery Garnard and Timmy Mills.
