Following retirement, he and his wife Bettye traveled extensively both internationally and within the United States and were regular bridge players at various senior citizens centers. Mr. Caproni was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bettyesue Rivers, and is survived by his three children, Albert Caproni III (Ruth Randall) of Atlanta, Valerie Caproni of Washington, DC and Bitsy Dedwylder (John) of Columbus, and five grandchildren: Josephine Caproni, Albert Caproni IV (Vittoria), Bryson Caproni, Davis Dedwylder and Bess Dedwylder. on April 29, 2013.4

West, Jr., 74, of Deerfield Township, prominent County & Blue Grass musician, died Monday, June 23, 2002, at South Jersey HealthCare-Bridgeton Division. He had been in failing health for the past 2 years. He will be remembered for the many shows his band, called Good & Country, headed by himself and Tommy Huff, played on various radio and television stations in this area. They included W. S. N. J. in Bridgeton and W. M. V. B. in Vineland and the Wildwood Television Station. He also preformed at W. C. A. S. in Charleston, W. Va. and his band made several records, including Alimony Bound and Newport Blues. In his many years of entertaining he played with many of the country music stars, including Hawk Shaw Hawkins, Kitty Wells, Cowboys Copos, Bill Monroe, Del McCoury, Mack Wiseman, Jimmy Martin, Hank Tompson, Tex Ritter, T. Texas Tyler, Don Reno and Bill Harold. Locally he had also played with Ivan Sexton and Denise Clemente. Mr. West was born in Marting, W. Va. and was the son of the late Cecil E. and Tressie Huffman West. He had been a resident of Deerfield Township for 43 years and prior to that lived in Bridgeton. Prior to his retirement in 1974, he had been employed as a master operator with Wheaton Glass Co. in Millville for 20 years. He had formerly been employed with Alcoa Aluminum Co. in Cleveland, Ohio and had been a coal miner in West Virginia. He was a former member of the Italian American Political Club and the Bridgeton Moose Lodge. He attended Tri County Lighthouse Baptist Church in Deerfield. Survivors include: his wife, Daphne Spencer West; two daughters, Sherri L. Bernard, Bradenton, Fla. and Tammy K. Murrian, Bear, Del; three sons, Gary W. West, Pittsgrove Township, Larry E. West, Vineland and Dana A. West, Upper Deerfield Township; three sisters, Emma Miller, Deerfield Township, Eva Jean Estep, Madison, w. Va. and Dora Ann Miller, Turtle Creek, W. Va; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Rev. David Boner will conduct funeral services in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Friday afternoon, June 27, at 2:00 O'clock.      Erma L. West Erma Miller, 81, of Upper Deerfield Twp., passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Madison, West Virginia, to the late Cecil West, Sr. and Tressie Huffman West; she was the wife of the late Benjamin Miller, Sr. Erma moved to NJ in 1955 and was a Deerfield Township resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Erma had been self-employed at B&E Upholstery for 25 years. She was a long time member of the Christ Community Tabernacle in Elmer where she served as president of the Ladies Sunshine Auxilery. She also led ladies Bible study at the church. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by; three daughters, Vedora "Vicki" Larson and her wife Jacquelyn of Upper Deerfield Twp., Pamela Meguines and her husband George of Millville and Laurie Fiester and her husband John of Deerfield Twp; a son Benjamin Miller, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Upper Pittsgrove Twp; a sister, Eva Jean Estep of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Benjamin Miller, Sr., she was preceded in death by; a daughter, Barbara Miller; a brother, Cecil West, Jr; a sister, Doranne Miller and a grandson, Paul. Lovell George "Huff" Huffman went to rest in the peace of his Lord on Sunday, March 17, 2002. Services were held today in the J.E. Johnson Funeral Home in Kanawha City, W.Va., with the Rev. Mike Todorovich and the Rev. Naham Balser officiating. Burial, with a Masonic graveside service by Clendenin Lodge 126, was at Rock Memorial Cemetery in Little Sandy, W.Va. The Rev. Huffman was born on Oct. 3, 1918, in Wills, W.Va., to the late Rev. George Henry and Dora Estella Huffman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in a communication unit in the Pacific. Lovell was ordained and Advent Christian minister on Aug. 28, 1958. He was the oldest Advent Christian minister in West Virginia. He served churches in Pond Gap, Mammoth, Calvin, Guiding Star, Blue Creek and Antioch. He led many revivals throughout the West Virginia Advent Christian Conference. He was a mentor and advisor to many fellow ministers and Christians. His love of the Lord was witnessed in his daily life. He is at peace after living a wonderful, love-filled Christian life. Lovell was owner/operator of Huffman Plumbing and Heating for over 20 years. He was a member of the Clendenin Masonic Lodge No. 126 for over 50 years, Tyrian Chapter 13 Royal Arch Masons and Kanawha Commandery No. 4 Knights Templer. He was an avid bowler. He and his wife were league members at Galaxy Lanes in Kanawha City. He loved fishing and enjoyed many trips to lakes in West Virginia, Florida and Oklahoma with his family. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. "PaPa" will be missed by all his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Elizabeth; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Harold Huffman and Alice Kaye of St. Albans, W.Va; a sister, Reva Rule of Smyrna, Tenn; a brother, Henry "Ed" Edison of Charleston; two daughters-in-law, Pat Perks of Red House, W.Va., and Pat Huffman of Walters; three step-daughters and son-in-law, Jean Ann and Doyle Comer of Eustis, Fla., and Mary Mullins and Carolyn Arthur both of Charleston; two step-sons and daughters-in-law William and Linda of St. Albans, and James and Regina Davis of Washington, W.      Her Social Security Number was 236-40-5607.9 Reva Estella Huffman was buried at Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Township, New Jersey.6 She Reva E. Rule (Huffman), 77, of Vineland, and formerly of Smyrna, Tenn., and Bridgeton, died Wednesday morning, April 30, 2003, at the home of her daughter. She had been under the care of hospice.
Mrs. Rule was the wife of the late Herold B. Rule, who died in 1960, and was the daughter of the late George and Dora Tickle Huffman. She was born in Marting Fayette, W.Va., and had lived in Bridgeton for several years. Before returning to the area, she resided in Smyrna for 31 years. For more than 30 years, Mrs. Rule worked at the former Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton in the selecting department. At Owens, she was a member of Local 239, GBBA. An avid bowler, she bowled in the Owens Bowling League and also in Tennessee. In addition, she was a member of the Women's International Bowling Congress. She was a former member of the Ladies of the Moose in Bridgeton. She liked to crochet and sew and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce A. "Jody" Moncrief of Vineland; one son, Herold B. "Buddy" Rule of Concord, Calif; four grandchildren, Herold B. Rule III, Anthony Moncrief, Chris Moncrief and David Rule; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Edison Huffman of Charleston, W.Va; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her companion of 30 years, Sanford Keith; five brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton. Pastor David R. Boner of the Tri-County Lighthouse Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be made in the family cemetery lot at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home.
