A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Price officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Later in life, Bernie enjoyed sitting on his porch watching and feeding the birds. He was a member of Monroe United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Leroy Morcom, Francis Morcom, and Edward Morcom; and a sister, Sarah Martin. Bernie is survived by his sister, Ruth Tomanek of Lynchburg and Bertie Hill of Raleigh, N.C.
