Also surviving are a son, Vernon Whiteman, of Long Beach, Calif; two stepsons, Clarence Riner of South Bend, and Ollie Riner of Costa Mesa, Calif; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, C.C. Whiteman of South Bend, and Earl Whiteman of Wilmington, N.C. Friends May call after 7 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home and until services there at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Ralph S. Steel, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. on October 28, 1958.1
