Sharon Renee' Minnix Sharon Renee' Minnix Stuart Flowers, born August 14, 1963, to Gatha Bernard Anderson and Omer Earl Minnix, passed peacefully into her heavenly home on Monday, September 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Jerry Woolwine, whom she loved dearly, and her step-father, Everett “Andy”Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Michael Flowers; her daughters, Nicole Stuart Woolwine and Ashley Renea Saunders; her grandsons, Ashton and Dakota Woolwine; brother, Doug Minnix; sister, Dawn McDowell; step-mother, Miranda Minnix; nieces, Danielle Hash and husband, Chris, Kayla Minnix and Katie Greer; and special friend, Wills Abshire. A graveside service will be held at Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church on Swenfield Road, Callaway VA 24067, on Friday, October 1, at 12:00 noon.1 She was buried at Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Swenfield Road, Franklin Co., Virginia.1 Her married name was Flowers.1 She married Michael Flowers.1 Sharon Renee' Minnix was born on August 14, 1963 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.3,1,5 As of December 10, 1983,her married name was Stuart.3 She married Edward Keith Stuart on December 10, 1983 at Roanoke, Virginia.3 Sharon Renee' Minnix and Edward Keith Stuart were divorced on November 3, 1995 at Bedford Co., Virginia.2 Sharon Renee' Minnix died on September 27, 2021 at Virginia at age 58.1

Edna was born Sept. 12, 1910, in Mason Township, Cass County, the daughter of Roy and Hazel (Cook) Bishop. Edna attended college and was a former school teacher teaching K-8th grades at Glimes and Starbrick Schools, now a part of the Edwardsburg School System. She later became director of food services for Edwardsburg Schools, from which she retired. Edna was married to W. Peter "Pete" Gailhouse on April 17, 1937, in Crawfordsville, Ind. He passed on Nov. 12, 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Hoebeke of Edwardsburg and Jeannine Seggerman of Granger, Ind. There are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She has two brothers, Herman (Carol) Bishop and Kenneth Dean (Dorothy) Bishop, both of Edwardsburg. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother, Stanley Bishop. Edna was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Monday Evening Club, all of Edwardsburg, Cass County Historical Society, was a 4-H leader of Cass County, and was a member of the Michigan Educational Association. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Hope United Methodist Church, 69941 Elkhart Road, where the service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. Friends may call one hour before services in the church. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff Reese, pastor of the church. Burial will be at Adamsville Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church or to Hospice of Elkhart General Hospital. Envelopes will be available. on March 18, 2004.3

He was born January 19, 1926 in Edwardsburg, Michigan to Leroy A. & Mary Hazel (Cook) Bishop. On June 1, 1946 he married Oneta M. Smeltzer. She preceded him in death on October 24, 1975. He then married Dorothy J. (Annis) Ganger on July 30, 1976. She survives along with his two children, Kenneth (Brenda) Bishop of Elkhart and Kitty (Roger) Davis of Edwardsburg; two stepchildren, Larry (Tonne) Ganger of AZ and Karen (Robert) Dunn of Sugar Land, TX; four grandchildren, Kelly (Steve) Lee of Pahrump, NV, Lee (Holly) Bishop of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin (Sara) Bishop of Rocklin, CA, and Travis (Nancy) Davis of Toledo, OH; and three step-grandchildren, Brian (Seema) Dunn of GA, Kristin Flanders of AZ, and Devin (Stephanie) Ganger of WA. Also surviving are 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife; 2 two brothers, Herman & Stanley Bishop; and a sister, Edna Gailhouse. Kenny graduated from Edwardsburg High School and attended Michigan State University. He was a member of the Hope Methodist Church in Edwardsburg, a member of the Mason Township Zoning Board, and the National Farmers Organization. He enjoyed boating, fishing, going out to eat with his friends on Tuesdays, and playing euchre. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying in the 1950’s. Kenny was the owner of the Bishop Egg Farm for over 25 years and furnished fresh eggs to local schools, restaurants and grocery stores. He also worked at Miles Labs for 16 years. A private family burial will take place at Adamsville Cemetery. on March 2, 2018.6

Herman Louis Bishop was buried at Adamsville Cemetery, Adamsville Road and May Street, Adamsville, Cass Co., Michigan.2 He was born on December 19, 1927 at Edwardsburg, Cass Co., Michigan.2,9,3 He married Carol Marie Zimmer on August 14, 1947 at Edwardsburg, Cass Co., Michigan.1,2,10,9 Herman Louis Bishop died on December 7, 2012 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., Michigan, at age 84.2,9 He Herman Louis Bishop, 84, a lifelong resident of Edwardsburg, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, with his daughters, Dawn and Penny, at his side. He was born Dec. 19, 1927, at home in Edwardsburg to Leroy and Mary Hazel (Cook) Bishop. He married Carol Marie Zimmer on Aug. 14, 1947, in Edwardsburg. She preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 2005. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jonathan Roberts; one great-granddaughter, Chole Knepp; one sister, Edna Gailhouse; and two brothers, Arthur and Stanley Bishop. Herman retired as a millwright from Miles Laboratories in Elkhart. He was a farmer his entire life and built his own barn and home. Herman served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a member of Edwardsburg American Legion. He was a former member of Cass County Sheriff's Posse, a member of NRA and a member of EAA Chapter 132, Elkhart. His hobbies included animals (especially dogs and cats), antiques, genealogy, history, traveling and sitting on the porch drinking coffee and enjoying home-cooked meals. He had a passion for hot air balloons and flying. Herman was baptized in September 2007 at Granger Community Church. Herman will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by three daughters, Dawn (Bob) Nyerges of Edwardsburg, Penny (Mark) Werner of Edwardsburg and Myra; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth Bishop Sr. of Edwardsburg. Herman will be accorded Military Honors by active members of the U.S. Army prior to being laid to rest beside his late wife in Adamsville Cemetery, Adamsville. on December 9, 2012.2

Pete was born March 14, 1912, the son of Joseph and Lyda (Mahoney) Gailhouse in Marcellus, Mich. He moved to the Edwardsburg area over 68 years ago and was the former owner of Gailhouse Heating and Air Conditioning in Edwardsburg for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Edwardsburg American Legion Post 365. He was a member of Edwardsburg Masonic Lodge 476 and a member of Edwardsburg Hope United Methodist Church. Pete was married April 17, 1937, in Crawfordsville, Ind., to Edna I. Bishop, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Hoebeke of Edwardsburg and Jeannine Seggerman of Granger, Ind; and by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and a sister, Russell, Cecil, L.G. and Sarah. Burial will be at Adamsville Cemetery. on November 14, 2003.3
