Garland Clay "Jack" Fentress Garland C. Fentress (Jack), 91, of Pungo, died on August 13th. He was born on October 15, 1922 in Princess Anne County. He was the son of the late John W. Fentress and Alline Flanagan Fentress. He is predeceased by his wife, Frances (Fritz) Fentress and his sister, Laura Frances (Peggy) Tillman. He was a kind and caring man who thought of others before himself. A man of strong faith who loved his family and truly loved God. He was a member of Charity United Methodist Church, Princess Anne Masonic Lodge #25, VFW Post #1211, Natural Resource Pilot's Association and Virginia State Police Association. He served in the South Pacific during WWII in the US Coast Guard. He was a lifetime farmer who grew some of the best sweet potatoes in Pungo. He served a short time in the Fort Story Fire Department and briefly as the Post Master at the Princess Anne Courthouse office. He was retired from the Virginia State Game Commission, where he served as a Game Warden and a pilot. He was affectionally known as the "Flying Game Warden". He is survived by his son, Daniel Fentress and his wife Pam, his daughter, Michelle Stilson and her husband Ronnie. Also four grandchildren, Joshua Fentress and his wife Becky, Erin Gaylord and her husband, Travis, Wesley Stilson and his wife, Rochelle, and Jamie Boyer and her husband Ricardo and 5 great-grandchildren. Dillard Garlin Mills Dillard Garlin Mills, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., died April 12, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital with his sons by his side. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. Dillard was born June 21, 1926 in Barn, W.Va., a son of the late Charlie Winton and Florence McBride Mills. In addition to his parents, one sister, Nellie Mills and two brothers, Willard Mills and Delmer Mills, and his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Maupin Mills, preceded him in death. He was a WWII veteran and served as an MP in the Asiatic/Pacific Theater. Obtaining a B.A. from Concord University and a M.A. from Marshall University in 1962, he served over 60 years in local, State and Federal service, finishing as a Health Facility Surveyor with the WV State Department of Health. Survivors include 4 sons and two daughters-in-law, Stanley Mills of Huntington, Garlin and Pam Mills of Palmyra, Va., Jeff and Erin Mills of Huntington and Craig Mills of Newtown Square, Pa. Dillard was a Master Mason, a lifelong member of Concord Lodge No 48, in Athens, W.Va., and the National Rehabilitation Association. He was a member of the Norwood Free Methodist Church. Born March 11, 1907 in Wayside, he was the widower of Bernice Vest Parker and the son of the late L.B. and Mattie Ella Nelson Parker. He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years and will be greatly missed. He was a 1928 graduate of Athens High School, a 1934 education graduate of Concord College, and received his master's degree at West Virginia University in 1942. He worked as an educator and principal until his retirement in 1967. He also worked at Parker Brothers Store during this time and continued there until 1997. He was a life member and Past Worshipful Master of Concord Masonic Lodge #48 where he received a 50 year life member award in 1980 and 70 year recognition in 2000. He was also Past Priest of Athens Chapter #26, Royal Arch Masons. In 1999 the Town of Athens recognized him with the Elder Citizen Award. In addition to his wife and parents, four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Survivors include three daughters, Fritzi Fentress and husband, Jack of Virginia Beach, Va., Elizabeth Mills and husband, Dillard of Huntington, and Jack Burroughs and husband, Joe of Virginia Beach; two sons, Joe Parker of Athens and Jerry Parker of Charleston; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Alvis of Athens; one brother, Fred Parker of Athens; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Burial will follow at the Athens Cemetery with Concord Masonic Lodge #78 conducting graveside rites. on December 30, 2001.1

He was 82. He was born on April 8, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Rols Frank Bolling and Helen Walker Bolling. He was married to Jean Yvonne Vest Bolling who preceded him in death on July 4, 1998. After schooling, Robert followed in the footsteps of his father as a plumber. He worked many years for Ruark & Lauer, Joseph M. Zimmer and later retired from Talbot County Public Schools in 2015. During his tenure at the school, he married Charlene Boone Bolling on December 11, 1999. Robert was a member of Park Lane Church of God in Federalsburg where he served as the Missionary Represtative, and taught Sunday School in the widows class. He was on the Planning and Action Committee, and the Finance Board. He also attended Bethel Assembly of God in Baltimore for over twenty-five years. While attending there he served as a trustee, bus driver, Sunday School teacher, and misions. He was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and taking Charlene along for deer watching. He had an assortment of yard fowl and enjoyed his freshwater fish. In his younger years he loved drag racing. He enjoyed spending time on his uncle’s farm in the summer as a boy. He is survived by his wife, Charlene Boone Bolling of Federalsburg, MD; A step son, Joseph Ostrowski, Jr., his wife Janna; step-grandchildren Emilee, Colton and Noah; step-daughter, Sarah Sinclair of Bozman, MD, husband JR and Lucy. His also survived by four daughters: Sandra Jean Eltringham and her husband Thomas of Harrisonburg, VA. Grandchild, Clint Eltringham and his wife, Darlene of Baltimore, MD; and their children Olivia, Luke, and Max; Caleb Eltringham of WV; Kacie Eltringham and Ryan Skelton of Weyers Cave, VA, and her children, Timmy, Connor, and Ryker; Jill Altizer and her husband Louie of Federalsburg; grandchild, Edris Evans IV and wife Kristen of Baltimore, MD, and their children Edris Evans V, and Reece; Louie Altizer III and wife Angie of Bridgeville, DE, and their children, Louie IV, Matthew, and Noah; Adam Altizer and wife Alison of Snow Hill, MD, and his children Kaila, Cody, Adyson, A.J., and Juliann; Constance Ann Collins and her husband Mark of Easton, MD, and their children Kristin Lockerman, Tyler Collins and his wife Elysia of Easton, MD and their daughter Emma; Holly Frase of Federalsburg, MD and her daughter Hailey. Also survived by a brother, David Bolling of South Carolina, and a sister, Brenda Szymanik and her husband Doug of Baltimore, MD. In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Paul Bolling and sister Jane Reeder.2 He was born on April 8, 1938 at Baltimore, Maryland.2 He died on September 13, 2020 at Maryland at age 82.2
