     Jacqueline "Jackie" Hale Jacqueline (Jackie) Hale Bell, 81, of Copper Hill went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 23, 2018. She was born to the late Crettie and Sim Hale of Bent Mountain. She was the youngest of eight children, which preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband of 52 years, Moyer Agee Bell. She is survived by two sons and spouses, Tommy (Judy) and Terry (Lesha) Bell; grandson, Joey Bell, all of Floyd; special friend and caregiver, Lavern Beaver, who brought Ms. Jackie much joy and laughter in the last several months of her life. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Jackie was well known for her love of cooking of which she specialized in making delicious cakes and goodies. It was her opinion that all meals needed to start with desserts. She worked for many bakery/deli’s from Roanoke to Floyd through the years. Jackie also had a love for animals big and small. Born Sept. 13, 1915, she was a daughter of Mrs. Ethel Richards Manning of Copper Hill, Va., and the late Asa Manning. Survivors in addition to her mother are her husband, Harold Guilliams, Hominy Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Gloria Markham of Nettie and Miss Lesa Guilliams at home; four sons, Lynwood of Niagara Falls, N. Y., Garland of Copper Hill, Va., Sheldon of Spottsylvania, Va., and Arlie of Quinwood; one brother, Robert Manning of Copper Hill, Va; and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Quinwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Houston Soothe in charge. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville. The body will be taken to the home at 3 p.m. Sunday and removed to the church an hour before the service. on April 8, 1973.⁵

She is also survived by three brothers, Tommy Gearheart and his wife, Mary, of Marion, Henry Gearheart and his wife, Pat, of Bluefield, W. Va., and Danny Bush and his wife, Robin, of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 2, 2004 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home, 1001 Franklin Rd., Roanoke. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Lotz Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Fred Fryar officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. on April 2, 2004.⁵
