Judy was a very involved member of the Huffville United Methodist Church. She had been employed by Duncan Automotive Group for 28½ years. She loved to knit, bowl and sing. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines and devoted much time, serving on the Board of Directors of the Golden Triangle Women's Bowling, which merged and became the New River Valley USBC. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Church family, to her caregivers, Cinda McCoy and Carol Clower, as well as the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice and the staff of the DC/MD/VA Chapter of the ALS Association. Also special thanks to the Up & At 'Em Bowling League for all of their support and assistance. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Wimmer Meredith; son and daughter-in-law, James and Sherry Meredith; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Dubby Charlton; grandchildren, Brad Meredith and Sara Charlton; great-granddaughter, Colleen Meredith; sisters-in-law, Catherine Meredith, Lois Epperly, Daphne McNeil, LZ Wimmer, Rachael Wimmer and Diana Wimmer; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Marie June Wimmer; many beloved nieces and nephews; life long friends, David and Carol Campbell, Donna King and Brenda and Donald Hylton; special cousin, Wilmer Walker. Lewis cherished the many friends he had at St. Paul Methodist Church and the family would like to thank them all for the kindness shown to him during his illness. An engineer at the Army Chemical Center at the Edgewood Arsenal, he retired in 1962 after some 30 years there. He had formerly been a stationary engineer for the Borden Dairy Company in Elgin, Ill. A native of Virginia, he served in the Army during World War I. Mr. Wimmer was a member and past patron of Chapter 106 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Highland Lodge No. 184 A.F. & A.M., Northern Star Council No. 61 of Daughters of America and the Men's Committee of the State Council of Daughters of America. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Stevens Wimmer; a sister; Miss Cammie E. Wimmer, of Baltimore, and a brother, Lawrence Wimmer, of Fallston, Md. on July 30, 1968.8
