She leaves a wealth of friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, and church family who loved her dearly.The family will receive friends noon to 2 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2016, at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Craig Reed and the Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery.The family would like to thank everyone at Lewis Gale Medical Center 6 West, Oncology Department, Dr. Currie, and the Fusion Center. on February 7, 2016.2

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Lewis Kingrea; two daughters, Edna Earl Kingrea and Shelby Jean Kingrea; one brother, Gaylord Ball; six sisters, Virgie Ball, Doris Kirk, Florence Gibson, Myrtle Richardson, Zolla Pruett, and Edith Brickey. She is survived by a sister, Marie Klingensmith of Akron, Ohio; caregivers, Odella Hicks and family; a special friend, Judy Welch; several nephews and nieces. Interment will be at the Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, Va. Family and friends may meet at the Grandview Mausoleum for committal services. Besides her parents she predeceased by her loving husband Emmet D. King. Marie retired from Norfolk Public Schools in 1993 and was a long standing member of Calvary Temple Church in Norfolk. She is survived by her children, JoAnn Jackson and her husband, Gary, James C. Flowers, Jr. and his wife, Sharon Hart, and Christine Marie Coulter and her husband, Michael; grandchildren, Gary Jackson, Jr., Kenny Jackson, Shawn Jackson, Cori Coulter , Michael Coulter II, James C. Flowers III, Shannon Flowers; great-grandchildren, Travis Holstein, Matthew Jackson, Clay Jackson, Emilee Jackson and Ciara Jackson. Mrs. King was an inspiration to all who loved her and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Genoa Louise Stephens Louise S. Snider, April 27, 1930 – January 10, 2022. Louise Stephens Snider, 91 went to her heavenly home on January 10, 2022. She was raised in White Gate, Virginia and loved telling about her good years on their farm as a child. Her first job was at Natural Bridge Hotel and then she worked for over 40 years at Celanese Corporation in Narrows, Virginia until she retired. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Narrows and never met anyone she didn’t like. Her favorite things to do involved working in the garden, mowing, and sitting in the sun; and especially her yearly beach trips with her daughter, granddaughter and son. She is survived by her daughter Trudy Ferguson of Roanoke, Virginia; her son William Snider of Pearisburg, Virginia; her granddaughter, Karla Ferguson-Granger (Glenn) of Roanoke, Virginia; great-grandsons, Wyatt Ferguson of Plymouth Minnesota; Christian LaFavor (Hannah) of Roanoke, Virginia; great-great-granddaughter Leigh LaFavor; and sister Julia Francis of Ballard, West Virginia. Also missing her, is her favorite dog Macie. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Sam and Virgie Stephens; husband, Paul Snider; son-in-law Ron Ferguson; son Greg Snider; grandson Travis Ferguson; and many sisters and brothers. We would like to thank Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, Virginia where she spent her last two months. He was predeceased by his parents, Alonzo and Verna Snider; a brother, Howard Snider and wife Marie; a sister, Marie Hylton; a son, Greg Snider; and a grandson, Travis Ferguson. Paul fought in the Philippines, serving in the United States Army in World War II. He retired from Virginia Tech in the Custodial Department and was fondly known as Poppa Smurf. Paul loved gardening and sharing the fruits of his labor. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch and talking with the neighbors sharing gardening tips. Surviving are his wife, Louise Stephens Snider of Narrows, Va; a son, William Snider, Pearisburg, Va; a daughter, Trudy Ferguson and husband Ron, Roanoke, Va; a granddaughter, Karla Ferguson and husband Glenn of Roanoke, Va; and two great grandsons. What greater gift could he give his Mother, than to meet her in heaven on Mother's Day. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nine siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Talmadge Poff McQuaid, his children, Cindy Hall, Tim McQuaid, Ted (Tammy) McQuaid, Brenda (Scott) Wellman, Patty (Darren) Haner, Tony (Rachel) McQuaid and brother William "Knapp" (Ruth) McQuaid. Seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Alvin was a Christian man asking for and receiving repentance from our Lord on September of 2013. He retired from Union Twp where he was known as the "Grader Man." He worked at Gallipolis Locks and Dam. He loved his family and friends, being the center of entertainment. He enjoyed gospel and country western music, as well as hunting and fishing. Alvin will be greatly missed and loved by many.
