Marie was a very active member of the Crossroads Lions Club and the recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. A lifelong member of Oakland Baptist Church, she was active on numerous committees and served as Superintendent of the Junior High Sunday School. She was a longtime administrative assistant to Dr. Alvin Kagey, DDS. Marie was the daughter of the late Acree and Lydia Arrington and predeceased by a brother, Charles Arrington, and a sister, Maxine Lanter. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, George R. Saul; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Carol Saul of Gaithersburg, Md., and Robin and Connie Saul of Westminster, Md; two grandsons, Zak and Bryan Saul; and a brother, Larry Arrington of Plant City, Fla. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Oakland Baptist Church (for the Family Life Center), 3623 Roundhill Avenue, Roanoke, Va. 24012. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2002, from Oakland Baptist Church. The Rev. H. Kelly Dampeer will officiate. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.      Clara Mae "Nip" Cahoon was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.² She was born on October 28, 1930 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.^2,3 She married Perry Brammer Conner, son of Willard Austin Conner and Roxie Ann Evelyn Conner, on February 4, 1950 at Fincastle, Botetourt Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4 As of February 4, 1950,her married name was Conner. Clara Mae "Nip" Cahoon died on August 3, 2015 at Daleville, Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 84.² She Clara Mae Cahoon (Nip) Conner, 84, of Fincastle, Va., entered into her Heavenly home on Monday, August 3, 2015, at the Carrington Place in Daleville where she was a resident for three years. Clara was born on October 28, 1930, a daughter of the late Earl and Annie Cahoon. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Perry B. Conner; sister, Shirley A. Cahoon; brothers, Jackie and Mac Cahoon; and special nephew, Jimmy McClung.She was a long time member of the Fincastle United Methodist Church and a member of United Methodist Women. Over the years, she was active in the Girl Scouts and LOA. She retired from Botetourt Intermediate and Cahoon's Florist, was a lover of cats and dogs, and enjoyed socializing with her many friends and family. She touched a lot of lives over the years and was special to many.She is survived by her brother, Lloyd H. Cahoon; sisters, Dorothy Craft and Charlotte McClung; special nieces, Sandra Harris and Karen Peery; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and special friends. Special thanks to the staff of Carrington Place for their loving care. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on August 5, 2015.²

She was born in Oxford, PA, on December 16, 1929. She was married 55 years to the late George T. Lynch, Jr. who died on June 10, 2010. A resident of Cecil County for over 60 years, Mrs. Lynch enjoyed making crafts, Publishers Clearing House and going to auctions. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children: Patricia Brown of Richland, WA, Barbara Key of Hagerstown, MD and Michael Lynch of Phoenix, AZ; her brother: Charlie Keith of Surfside, SC; 7 grandchildren: Heather, who lovingly cared for her, Brian, Erin, Angela, Danny, Mike and David; and 8 great grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife, Helen Christine Lynch; two daughters, Patricia Brown of Richland, WA, Barbara Key of Hagerstown, MD; and one son, Michael Lynch of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, Robert "Bobby" Lynch of Bayview, MD; seven grandchildren, Heather, Brian, Erin, Angela, Danny, Mike and David; and eight great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 S.      William McKinley Weddle was buried at Restvale Cemetery, Rt. 221, Check, Floyd Co., Virginia.³ He was born on March 11, 1898 at Floyd Co., Virginia.² He married Susan Vannoy "Sue" Conner, daughter of James Mearmon Conner and Laura Byar Walton, on April 28, 1924.^4,1,5,6 William McKinley Weddle died on October 1, 1944 at Radford, Virginia, at age 46.⁵ He Wm. M. Weddle, principal of Max Meadows high school, at Max Meadows, died Sunday morning at the Radford Community hospital after a short illness. Funeral services were held Monday October 2, at 3 p.m. at the Wytheville Baptist Church with burial in the Wytheville cemetery. Surviving are his wife Sue Conner Weddle, three daughters, Emmy Lou, Helene Lu and Roberta Lee Weddle; one sister and two brothers, Mrs. R. A. DeHart, of Floyd, B. H. Weddle of Massachusetts and S. C. Weddle of Blacksburg. Mr Weddle was active in both civic and religious affairs, a member of the Wytheville Baptist Church, teacher of Men's Bible Class at Anchor Hope Church, Max Meadows. He was a member of the American Legion post at Floyd. He was a director at large of the Southwestern Virginia, Inc., having been a director the past 14 years. He was recently elected president of the Wythe County Education Association. Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Atwill of Richmond and Miss India DeHart of Washington attended the funeral of their uncle, W. M. Weddle at Wytheville Monday. circa October 3, 1944.⁵
