He is survived by his father, Gary Stump of Gainesville, mother Kathy Apperson, of Waxhaw, N.C., a brother Ray Stump of Buford, two sisters, Beth Stump of Gainesville and Jennifer Stump of Waxhaw, N.C. and his grandparents, George and Barbara Stump of Gainesville. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and a large group of friends, including a special friend, Kristin Avery of Gainesville. J.D. was a student at North Georgia Tech in Clarksville and his instructions and wishes as an Organ Donor have been honored. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jun 12 at Littie and Davenport Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, June 13 at 4 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Don Harrison and Dr. Steve Brown officiating. The body will be cremated and a private family burial will take place later in the Columbarium Garden and Grace Church. Ralph is survived by his wife, Connie L. Poff; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Lynda Poff and Jonathon and Erin Poff; grandchildren, Olivia and Jackson Poff; his sister, Charlotte Poff; sister and her husband, Lucy and Ray Drain; brother and his wife, Marvin and Martha Poff; brother and his wife, Norman and Lani Poff; and brother-in-law, Horace Light. Ralph worked in the Hydro Department for Appalachian Power for many years. He was an active member of the Kazim and served in many capacities, most recently the director's staff. Ralph had a spirit of generosity and service to his family and community which he was able to fulfill through his family and Kazim family. Ralph was an adoring grandfather and took pride in making Olivia and Jackson laugh. They brought out his sense of humor and sneaky wit that would spur laughter throughout the room.
