     Clayton Gordon Epperly Sr. Clayton Gordon "Buddy" Epperly, age 67, of Salem, died at 1:23 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Essex House in Salem. He was born September 20, 1944, in Mt. Hope, W. Va. to Leslie G. and Virginia F. (Harmon) Epperly. Buddy formerly was employed by the Charlotte County School Board and later as a dock installer with the Charlotte County Sea Wall Company in Port Charlotte, Fla. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and like to watch wrestling and cooking shows on TV. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Ann (Crabtree) Epperly of Salem, whom he married May 9, 1981; two sons, Clayton Jr. (Lisa) Epperly of Albert City, IA and Leslie G. (Trish) Epperly of South Sioux City, Neb; three daughters Sheri Lynn Fuller of Arcadia, Fla, Susan Lynn Epperly of Jamestown, Tenn. and Stacy Lynn Epperly of Salem; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers Edward Allen (Charlotte) Epperly and Stanley G. (Robin) Epperly, both of Ft. Ogden, Fla. many nieces and nephews; and also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Glen T. and Wanda Crabtree of Salem. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson; and a sister.2 He was born on September 20, 1944 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.6,2,3 He married Lydia C.
