Farren was a retired Lieutenant from the Roanoke City Fire Dept; was a faithful member of Garden City Baptist Church, serving the church in many capacities, and was the owner of his construction company. He enjoyed working the outdoors, building and remodeling houses. He was always using his hands in creating fixtures for many friends. Farren always had a smile for you, enjoyed life and ready to joke with you. He was ever ready to discuss politics and was obsessed with Fox News, his favorite channel. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Karen S. Webb, his daughter, Jordyn Whitney Webb, his son, Gary Wayne Webb, his parents, Gary W. and Vonda Ferguson Webb, his brother, Trace Webb and wife Glenda, numerous other family members and many wonderful friends.² He was buried at Bandy Cemetery, Bandy Road, Mt. A. Butler, on Third, street, where her funeral was conducted by the Rev. W. O. Talbert, and from there she was taken to East Hill cemetery, in Salem, followed by her loved ones and many friends. The beautiful floral designs showed how much she was loved and esteemed by her friends and loved ones. Besides her husband, Mr. Clarence Terry, and two-year-old son (an infant son was buried in the casket with her), she leaves to mourn their loss her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Butler, and the following brothers and sisters: Edward and Harry Butler, of Salem, Va; Walter Butler, of Annawalt, W. Va; Robert Butler, of Trenton, N. J; Frank Butler, of Middletown, Ohio; Will Butler, of Michigan, and Sam Butler, of Hardy, Ky., who was at her bedside at the time of death; Mrs. Sam Henry, of Indiana; Mrs. Ira Manning, of Bedford; Mrs. Alfred Manning and Mrs. Taylor Moran of Salem, all of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs. Sam Henry and Mr. Will Butler. Ollie was a lovely girl. To know her was to love her. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a consecrated Christian. The family has the sympathy of the neighbors and many friends. on November 27, 1918.²
