He enjoyed car racing, working outside and loved animals and associating with people. He is survived his wife Dorothy Brogan of the home, one son Derek Ray Brogan of Bassett, one step grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was born February 8, 1933, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Earl Clifton Turner and Lelia Gentry Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Isaac Ray Brogan; and brothers; Ed Turner, Lawrence Turner, Marvin Turner, Maynard Turner. Dorothy was a member of Stanleytown Amazing Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed working in the church. She enjoyed doing puzzles and cooking. Dorothy also enjoyed camping and the mountains. She was dedicated to her work. She retired from Bassett Walker after 32 years as a knitter. She was employed at Faith Baptist Church in Bassett, VA for fifteen years where she worked as a secretary. She is survived by her son; Derek Brogan (Andrea); brothers; Raymond Turner and Nathan Turner (Brigitte); and grandchild, Ty Johnson. Midkiff; and three brothers, Edgar Clark, Clifford Clark and Silas Huff. She retired after more than 30 years as an inspector with Bassett-Walker Knitting.
