He is survived by two sons, Nathan Grant Dunn, Jr. and William Andrew Alls, both of Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Starkey, Elliston; Mrs. Frances Maxey, Shawsville; Mrs. Helen King, Salem; Mrs. Nannie Minnick, Christiansburg; three brothers, Clivie Dunn and Andrew Dunn, both of Elliston; Jimmy Dunn, Streetsboro, Ohio; one grandson, David Matthew Dunn, Lafayette. Interment in Sessler Cemetery. on January 14, 1989.³

     Donald Eugene Alls Sr. was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.^4,5 His Social Security Number was 230-34-1862.⁶ He was born on August 22, 1932 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,6,3 He married Billie Jean St. Clair, daughter of Ernest Herman St. Clair and Clarice Gay Poff, on November 18, 1976 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ Donald Eugene Alls Sr. died on October 21, 2009 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 77.^6,2,4 He Donald Eugene Alls Sr., 77, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Wednesday afternoon, October 21, 2009, at the Virginia Veterans Care Center. Don was a 1950 graduate of William Fleming High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a former employee of Blue Ridge Beverage, and Christian Food Brokers, and served in management positions with the Kroger Food Company and Kings Supermarket. Don was a longtime active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on many Church committees. He was an avid NASCAR fan of #3, Dale Earnhardt Sr. He enjoyed traveling, working around his home and especially doing yard work at his home and church. He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Wesley Alls Sr; and mother, Irene Mae Lugar Alls. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Short Alls; brother and wife, Elmer Wesley Alls Sr. and wife, Margaret; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Kay Alls and husband, Ricky; sons, Donald Eugene Alls Jr., and William "Andy" Alls; granddaughter, Jessica Rae and husband, Joseph; grandson, Justin Alexander Alls; great-grandchildren, Autumn and Jessee Rae; nieces, nephews, many other family members, and his Church family and many friends. He is also survived by 12 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Short and Hansbrough families and their extended families. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on October 23, 2009.⁴

     Willie Everette Vest was buried at Iddings Cemetery, near intersection of Daniel's Run Road and Huffville Road, Terrys Fork, Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ He was born on January 4, 1903 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ He died on February 13, 1903 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹

     Grace J. Speights was buried at Ozan Cemetery, on Hwy 27 between Bingen and Nashville, Bingen, Hempstead Co., Arkansas.¹ Her Social Security Number was 511-09-3685.² She was born on April 18, 1916 at Texas.^3,2 As of May 15, 1938,her married name was Amos.¹ She married James Ralph Amos, son of James H. Amos and Sarah Pelina Clary, on May 15, 1938 at Joplin, Jasper Co., Missouri.¹ Grace J. Speights died on December 18, 1990 at age 74.²

     Garrett Anderson ANDERSON, GARRET, 26 August 1647 - 20 July 1648 To my eldest son Peter Anderson when 21, 200 acres out of the 400 acres dividend I am now seated upon, he to have his choice of which 200 acres he wants. And his mother in law during her widowhood to have the now dwelling house and land, and to act as his overseer as he comes to age. In case his mother-in-law should marry, then he to learn a trade. NOTES:

1. Reading the term "in-law" can be confusing. In the 1600s and 1700s it was interchangeable with the term step as we know it today. What he was saying was that there was no blood relation between his "now" wife Amy Anderson and his son Peter Anderson. In regards to Richard Pritchett, he was saying that ther was no blood relation between he, Garrett Anderson and his "step" son Richard Pritchett.

2. Garrett Anderson was married before he married Amey. In the above will he names only his eldest son Peter Anderson..

3. He gives to his wife Amey, the "mother-in-law" [stepmother] the use of the house while she is a widow.

4. He also mentioned his "son-in-law" Richard "Prickett."

5. He states that Richard Pritchett was his "son-in-law," but he doesn't state that Richard Pritchett was Amey's son..

6. There is no place in the above will that states that Amey had been married to a Pritchett before she married Garrett Anderson. Richard Pritchett could have been the son of his first wife, making him Garrett Anderson's stepson and Peter Anderson's half brother, but not the son of Amey by a previous husband.

She was able to bear Garrett Anderson four children, Garrett, Amy, William and Elizabeth before he died sometime after September of 1647.¹ He was born circa 1609 at England. He married Amey Unknown circa 1636.¹ Garrett Anderson died before July 20, 1648 at Virginia.¹

     Amey Unknown was born circa 1618.¹ She married Garrett Anderson circa 1636.¹ As of circa 1636,her married name was Anderson.¹ Amey Unknown Amey, as Amey Anderson, confirmed a deed of Gift to her four Anderson children; Garrett, Amey, William and Elizabeth on November 6, 1648 at Virginia.¹ As of circa 1650,her married name was Waddelowe.¹ She married Nicholas Waddelowe circa 1650.¹ As of circa 1661,her married name was Fowkes.¹ Amey Unknown married Thomas Fowkes circa 1661 at Virginia.¹ Amey Unknown died circa April 10, 1678 at Virginia.¹ Her estate was probated on October 23, 1678; FOWKES, AMY - Nunc. 20 Aug. 1678 - Rec. 23 Oct. 1678 - To grandson George, eldest son of John & Amy Parker.
