Hope, Fayette Co., West Virginia.1 Ivan Addison Sovine died on May 31, 2000 at Orem, Utah Co., Utah, at age 90.2,3,4 He Ivan Addison Sovine, long time resident of Provo and recently Orem, died May 31, 2000, in his home with his sons by his side. Ivan Addison Sovine was born on April 25, 1910, the son of Henry Asher and Delilah Alice Kingery in Hurricane, Putnam County, W.Va; Ivan went west and married Helen Adele Durrant on Oct. 15, 1958, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Ivan served faithfully in the LDS Church with many callings, including a member of the Provo 6th Ward bishopric. Actively working in the Ivan Sovine high priest group, Ivan gave of all his time and talents willingly. Ivan also helped with the Scouting and youth programs that his sons were involved in. In 1972, Ivan, with a load of Scouts, attended the Boy Scout National Jamboree in Idaho. Ivan chose Provo to work and raise a family. Ivan owned and operated his own business here for more than 30 years. Sovine's Body Shop fixed or towed many of the valley resident's cars at one time or another. Ivan enjoyed the outdoors and his, family, taking time to go looking for rocks and making them into works of art. He also enjoyed lake fishing, where he was in most cases successful because he had more patience than the fish. Ivan was also an active member of the Utah Lake Lions Club. Ivan was preceded in death by his dear wife in 1987, and his survived in life by his four sons and one daughter, Lawrence (Houston, Texas), Carolyn Sue (Indianapolis, Ind.) H. Addison (Orem), David (Pleasant Grove) and James (Orem). Ivan has 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Ivan was the last survivor of nine children. Friends and extended family please join with us in remembering Ivan on Sunday, June 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State, Orem. The funeral service will be held Monday at the Lakeview 3rd Ward Chapel, 1600 S. 150 West, Orem, at 11 a.m. Additional viewing will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Ivan will be buried in the Provo City Cemetery with his eternal partner. on June 2, 2000.4

Flanagan, of Greenville, S.C; brother, William Edgar Rogers Jr. and wife, Yuki, of Honolulu, Hawaii; two nephews; five nieces; god daughter, Brooke Parker; god son, Alex Parker; six adopted children, Steve (Darlene) Charlton, Lisa (Bruce) Glass, Jonathan Charlton, Mary (Gene) Shelor, Karen Harris, and Katie Charlton; and 14 adopted grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at New Life Christian Ministries, Airport Road with Pastor Walter Lee Wood, Pastor Tony Atkinson and Father Michael Flanagan. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Military Honors performed by Disabled American Veterans, Roanoke Valley Honor Guard. on September 13, 2013.3

She was deeply loved and held in high esteem by her family and friends and admired as a role model by those aspiring to follow in her footsteps. She will be more than missed by those who held her near and dear including her nieces, Sylvia Hammond (Jim) and Phyllis Frazier (Tom); grandnephews, Todd Hammond (Chrisina) and John Frazier (Laura); her "adopted" Charleton children, John, Steven, Mary, Lisa, Karen and Katie; and caregiver and niece, Sandy Craighead. Lucille was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, David Rogers; her mother, Blanche Covey; two brothers, Jack and Bill Eversole; and grand niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jeffrey Frazier. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014, followed by services at 2 p.m. at New Life Christian Ministries, Airport Road. Pastor Walter Wood will officiate. Interment will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on October 30, 2014.3

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Dr. Hal Adams, the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry, and the Rev. Cecil Albano officiating. Interment will follow in the Pentecostal Conference Cemetery in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. on June 29, 2006.6
