He was born December 20, 1933 in Parker Township, Clark Co., IL, the son of Harry Thomas Beasley and Mina M. Shawver Beasley. On January 8, 1955 he married Ruth Ann Ennis at the Willis Chapel Church, Clark Co., IL. Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Ruth Beasley of Casey, IL; son, Randy Beasley and wife Holly of Ft. Myers, FL; son, Steven Beasley of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Julia and Kyle Beasley of Ft. Myers, FL; brothers, William Beasley and Robert Beasley and wife Connie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and two brothers. Gene worked in the oilfields in his early years. He owned and operated an auto repair business in Aurora, IL until 1981, then he moved to Florida in 1982 where he owned and operated an auto repair business. His love for cars led him to actually drive a stock car on the dirt track in Sycamore, IL. He then moved to Oilfield, IL in 2001 where he renovated the Oilfield Store building and operated a restaurant. His faith was strong and he attended churches wherever he lived and was currently a member of Salisbury Church, Hutton Campus. In these churches he held positions as trustee, song leader and sang in the choir. He loved spending time with family and especially his two grandchildren and he will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey IL with Rev. Ray Finney officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. on December 28, 2010.²

She married Morris Ennis on July 13, 1968, in Willis Chapel Church of God, in Martinsville. Joyce formerly worked at Richland Community College and Thrall Distribution. She was an active member of Open Hearts Foursquare Church. Joyce is survived by her husband Morris "Morey," Clinton; children, Brian A. Ennis and wife, Tammie, Clinton; Mendy A. Gillespie, Maroa; and Stacy A. Lehman, Normal; brother and sisters: Myrtle Garver of Casey; Gale Sawyer and wife, Linda, Cerro Gordo; and Peggy Sawyer, Clinton; seven grandchildren: Jaci, Aaron, Cole, Grier, Nathan, Miranda and Mason; and mother-in-law, Mary Ennis, Oilfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William; and two sisters, Juanita and Pauline "Polly." She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. on August 29, 2005.²
