Preceded in death by her parents, Noah Isaac and Mamie Grant Beckner, as well as her loving siblings-Colonel Beckner, Golden Beckner, Marvin Beckner, Pheroey Smith, Shelton Beckner and Joe Beckner. She is survived by her two devoted sons, Calvin Carr and his wife, Dianne, and Dale Carr and his wife, Sheila; her grandsons, Justin and Kevin Carr, and her four great-grandchildren, James, Jessica, Jordan, and Jacob Carr. She also leaves behind her brother, Gary Beckner and his wife, Gladys along with several nieces and nephews. Florence dedicated much of her life to her craft as a seamstress, having worked at Oak Hill Cap and Gown until her retirement at the age of 72. Her hands, skilled in the art of sewing, also nurtured life in the garden, where she found joy in growing tomatoes and cucumbers. The quiet strength and care she brought into the world will be profoundly missed by her loved ones.
