Maggie was the Vice President of the Aurora Athletic Club before retiring to Mesa, AZ in 1990 where she enjoyed her hobbies, house, yard and her many friends. She is survived by her husband, Donald "Mover" Vaughn; her sons, Carey "Gus" Rogers (Debbie Toberman) and Scott "Burp" (Elizabeth) Rodgers; four granddaughters, Sheri (Jason) Kidd, Brandy (Cory) Kennedy, Kristen Rogers and Tabitha Rogers; six great grandchildren, Lyleigh, Jason Jr., Nathan, Nicholas, Joshua and Hailey; one sister, Vilda Collier; one step-brother, Dale (Joanie) Hoorelbek; three step-sisters, Lonnie Baylor, Pat (Dick) Hartkopp, Diane (Junior) Alexander; a brother-in-law, Raymond Stewart; several nieces and nephews and numerous close friends. Her father, James Collier; her mother and second father, Pauline and George Hoorelbek; her son Steven "Porky" Rogers; two sisters, Shirley Seidelman and Doris Bond; one nephew, James Stewart preceded her in death. Horn of Roanoke, Patricia C. and Barry Spradlin of Stewartsville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Melissa and Rick Rickrode, Beth and Fred Birmingham, all of Slidell, La., Jeff and Tina Horn of Roanoke, Eric and Sonya Horn of Vinton, Troy Horn of Roanoke, Dana Ferguson of Montvale, Dwayne Ferguson of Roanoke; four great-grandchildren, Rachel and Trey Rickrode, Joshua Horn, Mary Caitlyn Birmingham; a sister, Sarah C. Clingenpeel of Boones Mill. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 1995, with the Rev. H. D. Scoggins officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 11 a.m. Thursday. on January 25, 1995.¹

She was the daughter of the late James McGhee and Kathryn H. McGhee Bobbitt, of Roanoke, Va. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Woodrow W. (Woodie) Angle; and son, Robert Michael (Bobby) Angle. Betty is survived by five children, Jimmy (Linda) Angle, of Suwanee, Ga., Suzie (Mitch) Weber, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Sonny (Robin) Angle, of Herndon, Va., Becky (Johnnie) Wages, of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Mary (Greg) Harris, of Norfolk, Va; her sister, Mary Alice (Reggie) Hutcherson, of Roanoke, Va; a host of nieces and nephews; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Betty was born and raised in Roanoke, where she graduated from Jefferson High School in 1945. She loved to play the alto saxophone and participated in the orchestra, marching band, and a small combo band known as "The Melody Makers." In 1950 she married the love of her life, Woodie Angle, and from 1950 to 1963 they brought six beautiful children into this world. Betty relocated to Chattanooga, Tenn., in June 2005 after spending 30 years in the Atlanta, Ga., area. Betty's final resting place will be in Roanoke, alongside her husband and son, where a graveside service will take place at Evergreen Burial Park. on September 18, 2011.²
