He was a carpenter and a member of Grace Baptist Church, Stanaford, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and AFLCIO. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was chairman of board of directors of Southern West Virginia Fellowship Home. Surviving: wife, Donna K. Dillinger of Beckley; mother, Juanita Thompson Legg of Oak Hill; brother, Hubert "Bud" of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Mrs. Patricia Lucas of Portsmouth, Ohio, Mrs. Pamela Faulkner of Romney; three grandchildren Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Gordon Ross and the Rev. Lester Hall officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. on October 10, 1986.³

     Harold Eugene Bowe was buried at Montgomery Memorial Park, Route 60, London, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^2,5 His Social Security Number was 233-32-4811.⁶ He married Drema Elizabeth Epperly, daughter of Ervin Edgar Epperly and Maude Minnie Martin.² Harold Eugene Bowe was born on May 31, 1925 at Glen, Clay Co., West Virginia.^2,6,3,4,5 He died on October 2, 2006 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 81.^2,6,5 He Harold Eugene Bowe, 81, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 2, 2006, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. Born May 31, 1925, in Clay County, he was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mattie Bowe, and his brother, Samuel. In addition to his parents and brother, Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby. Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Drema Ellison Bowe; daughters and their husbands, Katherine Lynn and Geert Gysens of Fort Mill, S.C., and Darla Kaye and Randy Smith of York, S.C; grandchildren, Jeffrey Layne Cox Jr., Jennifer Elizabeth Ramsey and Randy Wayne Smith Jr; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Lee and Brittany Leigh Cox of South Carolina. Also surviving are a son and his wife, Jim and Clarice Wilson of Price Hill; grandson, Tyler Wilson; granddaughter and her husband, Candy and Curtis Witt of Dublin, Va; and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Brittany Witt. Harold retired from Alloy Corporation. He was a faithful member of Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church, a World War II veteran and a former member of the VFW. Harold was dedicated to singing in various nursing homes in the Oak Hill area. He will be missed by his many family members and friends. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church, Oak Hill. Burial will be held in Montgomery Memorial Park, London.      James Franklin Belcher was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.³ He was born on September 21, 1906 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia; His draft card has a birth year of 1907.^2,4 He married Rose Angline "Rosa" Iddings, daughter of William Jasper "Willie" Iddings and Daisy Blaine Meadows, on December 25, 1967 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.¹ James Franklin Belcher died in July, 1982 at West Virginia at age 75.⁴

     James William "Bill" Iddings Greensboro - James William "Bill" Iddings, 84, was born in Marie, West Virginia, and made Greensboro his home for the past 44 years. He passed away peacefully on July 10th at Morningview at Irving Park in Greensboro. Bill is survived by his three sons, who all considered him their personal hero, and their families: William Michael "Mike" (Vicki), James "Kevin" (Julie) and Jeffrey Scott "Jeff" (Penny); grandchildren, Kristin Iddings, Courtney Peters (Ronnie), Cody Iddings, Jordan Iddings, Bryan Iddings, Jake Iddings and great grandsons, Riley and Rowan Peters. He was preceded in death by his mother Eva Iddings Cody and wife Ellen Rogers Iddings. Bill never met a stranger, and truly loved people, especially his family, his golfing buddies and his church, Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church of Greensboro. Bill took pride in his work and was respected by all as a manager at Sears and Roebuck on Lawndale Drive for over 30 years. He was even more proud of his family. He never missed one of his sons' or grandchildren's sporting events, dance recitals or school ceremonies, and treasured the opportunity to spend time with his family. In his youth, Bill was an all-state football and baseball player, a bit of a local sports legend in southwestern West Virginia. He was an avid golfer for most of his life, having shot his age and made a hole in one when he was in his 70s. He served in the army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He was an eternal optimist, and his love and presence will truly be missed by Mike, Kevin, Jeff and their families and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, 515 North Elm Street in Greensboro. The funeral service will be held at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2600 Pisgah Church Road, on Sunday, July 13th at 2:00 p.m. The burial will be held immediately following the service at Westminister Gardens.      Gladys Fern Gill was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.^2,5 Her Social Security Number was 236-38-9730.⁶ She was born on January 26, 1928 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.^2,5,6 As of December 12, 1946,her married name was Iddings.³ She married Archie Vaughn Iddings, son of William Jasper "Willie" Iddings and Daisy Blaine Meadows, on December 12, 1946 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.^1,5,2,3 Gladys Fern Gill died on January 4, 2011 at Charlottesville, Virginia, at age 82.^7,2,5,6 She IDDINGS, Gladys Gill, 82, of Richmond, Virginia, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in Charlottesville, Va., following a short illness. Born January 26, 1928, in Hinton, she was a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Minnie Bennett Gill. Mrs. Iddings moved to Richmond, Va., in 1946, where she worked at Sears and Roebuck until her retirement after 36 years of service, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Archie V. Iddings on July 10, 2003; three brothers, Robert Ray Gill in 1926, Corporal Harles D. Gill, who was declared Missing in Action December 2, 1950 in Korea and was recovered 58 years after his death, and C.E. "Ted" Gill, who passed away on January 8, 1975. Mrs. Iddings is survived by her daughter, Darla Iddings Minton and her husband, J Andrews, of Charlottesville, with whom she had made her home for the past six months; one stepdaughter, June Williams and husband, Joe, of Portsmouth, Va; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren also survive. Burial will follow in the New Hope UMC Cemetery at Marie, West Virginia. on January 7, 2011.²

     Bonnie Louise Iddings was buried at New Hope Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.^2,3 She was born on March 2, 1939 at West Virginia.³ She died on October 23, 1942 at Marie, Summers Co., West Virginia, at age 3.^2,3

     Lois Gay Iddings was buried at Mountain View Memorial Park (also known as Mountain View Burial Park), 5970 Grassy Hill Road, Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.² She was born on April 9, 1934 at Summers Co., West Virginia.² As of December 29, 1956,her married name was Welch.³ She married Milford Duane Welch on December 29, 1956 at Clifton Forge, Alleghany Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 Lois Gay Iddings died on October 23, 2015 at Virginia at age 81.² She Lois Iddings Welch, 81, of Rocky Mount, died Friday, October 23, 2015. She was born April 9, 1934, in Summers County, W.Va., and had been a resident of Rocky Mount for 54 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Zula Iddings; and sister, Bonnie Iddings. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Milford Duane Welch; her children, son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Chrissy Welch, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Richard Doucette, son and friend, Randy Welch and Jennifer Fahey; grandchildren, Oak Welch, Brooke Welch, and Emma Doucette. Lois helped form and retired from Member One Federal Credit Union. She was also a devoted member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Franklin Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Stan Parris and the Rev. Mark Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Sociey. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Franklin Heights Baptist Church.      Milford Duane Welch was buried at Mountain View Memorial Park (also known as Mountain View Burial Park), 5970 Grassy Hill Road, Boones Mill, Franklin Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on September 30, 1930 at Albright, Preston Co., West Virginia.⁴ He married Lois Gay Iddings, daughter of Leslie Howard Iddings and Zula Marie Hudson, on December 29, 1956 at Clifton Forge, Alleghany Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 Milford Duane Welch died on January 4, 2020 at Virginia at age 89.⁴ He Milford Duane Welch went home to be with Our Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2020. He was born on September 30, 1930, to the late Frank Elmer Welch and Ella Pearl Welch in Albright, W.Va. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois G. Welch, as well as his sisters, Madeline Welch, Nita Leaseburg, Leta Crane; and brothers, Charles Welch and Dallas Welch. He is survived by his three children, Bob (Christine), Cindy Doucette (Richard), Randy (Jen Fahey); and three grandchildren, Oak Welch, Brooke Welch, and Emma Doucette. Milford graduated from Kingwood, W.Va., High School, and attended West Virginia University where he received a B.S. in Dairy Science ('53) and M.S in Agronomy ('60). He served in the United States Army from 1954 through 1955 as an Artillery Crewman. Milford and Lois moved to Rocky Mount, Va., in 1960. Milford worked for Virginia Cooperative Extension as a County Agent and later at Kroger. They attended Rocky Mount United Methodist Church and Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Milford enjoyed gardening, West Virginia History, following WVU sports, and grandparenting. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, with Mr. Tom Worrell officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park. on January 6, 2020.⁴
