She loved to work in her yard and spend time with her beloved dogs, Baby and Puggy. She will be sadly missed by her surviving family, husband of 53 years, Dillard L. Richards of Daleville; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Paul Gluth of Daleville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Janet Richards of Daleville; granddaughters, Mary Catherine Deacon and husband, Mark of Daleville, and Nickie Dillon and husband, Robert of Roanoke; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Maggie Lee, Katlyn, and Josh; also special neighbors, Danny and Amy Robertson; and Memaw's special caretaker, Theresa Huffman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Hutchins officiating. Interment to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. on August 11, 2000.3

Richards; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Paul Gluth; grandchildren, Katlyn, Josh, Colton, Hunter and Hannah; mother-in-law, Louise C. Gilbert; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Tereasa Gilbert; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Mark Damiano; special niece and spouse, Mary Catherine and Scott Mullins; and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's East Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
