She was born July 9, 1930, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth Wright Shepherd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Via; and her son, Frank Lewis. Margaret is survived by many cousins and friends. She was a homemaker and loved caring for her dogs, especially poodles.
