Jim served as president, treasurer, and secretary at different times over 25 years for the Marion Slow Spokes Antique Car Club. A 40-year member of the A.A.C.A. National Antique Car Club of America, he attended and never missed The Hershey's Swap Meet and Car Show for 42 years. On Aug. 20, 1961, he married Leah Darlene (McGlothlin) Goad, she survives in Marion, Ohio. He is also survived by his mother, Wanda Goad of Florida; his sister, Joyce Souder of Palm Bay, Fla; four brothers-in-law, Manuel Cardenas, Cleon McGlothlin, Leo McGlothlin, and Ernie McGlothlin, all of Marion, Ohio; four sisters-in-law, Dolly Cardenas, Doyle McGlothlin, Alice McGlothlin, all of Marion, and Harriett McGlothlin of California; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
