Shirley Castle was buried at Falls Cemetery, Wabash, Wabash Co., Indiana.3 She was born on May 20, 1929 at Ridgefield, McHenry Co., Illinois.3,2 As of February 2, 1951,her married name was Jones.3 She married James Edward Jones, son of Sherman Miller Jones and Elizabeth Reed, on February 2, 1951.1,3,2 Shirley Castle died on February 26, 2008 at New Port Richey, Pasco Co., Florida, at age 78.3,2 She Shirley Castle Jones, 78, Trinity, Fla., formerly of Logansport, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, in Hernando Pasco Hospice Center, New Port Richey, Fla. She was born on May 20, 1929, in Ridgefield, Ill., to George and Ruth (Fletcher) Castle. She married James E. Jones on Feb. 2, 1951. He survives in Trinity, Fla. She was a kindergarten teacher in the Logansport public schools. From 1966 to 1981, she taught at Washington Elementary School and Jefferson Elementary School, and from 1981 to 1991 at Daniel Webster School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Earlham College, Richmond, in 1951. She earned a Master of Science degree in education from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. She was a past president of AGLOW and was a prayer warrior who loved her family and friends. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Tom Carson, Tarpon Springs, Fla., Dianne and Tom Pray, Naperville, Ill., and Carol and Mark Hirt, Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law, J. David and Sandy Jones, New Port Richey, Fla; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Walthall, Indianapolis, Charlotte Neal, Tempe, Ariz., Gwen and Keith Heaton, Roseville, Ill., and Dorothy and Fred Majors, Ridgefarm, Ill; two brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Ellie Castle, Americus, Ga., and Jack Clark, and his wife, Dora, Orange, Calif; grandchildren, Andrew Carson, Beth Carson, Sarah Carson, Katie Carson, Matthew Pray, Krista Pray, Heather Hirt, Devin Hirt, Amanda Jones and Jeffrey Jones; great-grandson, Michael Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was a preceded in death by her brother, Robert Castle, and her grandson, Gregory Jones. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2008, at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 701 Spencer St., Logansport, with a luncheon to follow at the church. The Rev. Doug Mankell and Dr. David Castle will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at Falls Cemetery, Wabash. on February 28, 2008.2

He was born in Roanoke on October 26, 1970, and was the only child of J.W. and Betty Lynn Robertson Manning of the Wolf Creek community near Narrows. Matthew graduated from Fishburne Military School located in Waynesboro, Va., in 1988. He was a graduate of Clemson University and Drake Law School. He resided in Las Vegas, Nev., for the past seven years where he practiced law as a partner of the Hofland/ Manning Attorneys at Law. He was also co-owner of Texas BBQ in Las Vegas. In addition to his mother and father, Matthew is survived by his aunt, Rebecca Lewis Smith and husband John, of Wolf Creek; a first cousin, Jennifer Marie Lewis of Las Vegas; also an Aunt, Mary Manning Hogan and husband, John of Okeechobee, Fla; and two cousins, Robert Hogan, Summersville, S.C. and Christopher Hogan of Roanoke, Va. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Kathleen Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. David Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning /Robertson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chuck Robertson, Gary Robertson, Barry Williams, Tony Robertson, Tim Robertson, and Brian Frazier. The family will receive friends at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Fishburne Military School for a scholarship in memory of Matthew . Jenkins, 65 of Brandon, Florida and formerly of Roanoke and Richmond, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond L. and Elizabeth Jenkins and his brother, Ray (Liz). He is survived by his wife, Claudine Wills Jenkins, sons, Worth (Shelbie), Curtis Conner (Susan), daughters, Linda and fiancé, Joe Hoehn, Wendy Cummings (Scott). He is survived by five granddaughters, three grandsons and his sister, Sarah Jenkins. He is a member of St. Andrews' United Methodist Church and was a long time member of several barbershop choruses and quartets in Virginia and Florida. He was employed in Industrial Sales since the age of 19. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, Virginia. on May 19, 2013.5
