He also was a member of Charleston Lodge 153, AF&AM, Scottish Rite Masons, and the Beni Kedem Temple, Tyrian Chanter 13, Royal Arch Masons, and Kanawha Cormmandry 4, Knights Templer, and BPOE Lodge 202. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mable Marks Vickers; a daughter, Miss Martha Whitney Vickers at home; a son, Charles Wesley at home; four sisters, Mrs. John W. Brookman, Mrs. Chloie Given, Mrs. Marvin L. Donohoe and Mrs. Harry O. Sergent, all of Charlesfon; a brother, W. H. Vickers of Elkview. Service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Bream Memorial Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe B. Overmyer officiating. Burial will in Vickers Cemetery at Frame under the direction of Owen and mortuary. on January 8, 1956.4

Survivors include her son and his wife, David and Sandy; daughters and their husbands, Evelyn and Larry Snodgrass, Patsy and Bob Norman and Idelle and Chester Fields; and a niece, raised as a sister, Helen Paxton. Margaret's pride and joy were her six grandchildren, Emily, Amy, Debbie, Russell, Wesley and Sarah; and her great-grandchildren, Cheston, Caleb, Abigail, Will, Emma and Skylar. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, at Myers Funeral Home, Elkview, with Pastor Woody Gray officiating. Burial will follow the service in Droddy-Canterbury Cemetery, Walton. on December 20, 2008.5

Hunt, on September 13, 1945 at Walton, Roane Co., West Virginia.1,2,3 Delbert Othel Paxton died on December 6, 2010 at Buckhannon, Upshur Co., West Virginia, at age 87.4,3 He Delbert O. Paxton, 87, of Parkersburg, passed away December 6, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital from ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He was born November 21, 1923 in Kettle, Roane County, a son of the late Amos and Nettie Dobbins Paxton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Kermit, Otmer, Glennis "Jim", Elbert, and Lyle Paxton; and two sisters, Hazel Marks and Georgia Hardman. He was survived by a brother, Kenneth Paxton, who died December 7, 2010. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Helen Elmore Paxton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bernard E. and Helen Paxton of Parkersburg and William Ray and Cynthia Paxton of Charleston; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruby E. and Bill Dowler of Washington; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Paxton of Roane County; and one sister, Lillian "Nina" Moore of Roane County. Delbert was an Army veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a farmer and then worked at American Viscose until it closed. He then worked at and retired from the Bureau of Public Debt, Parkersburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Lyle Paxton Cemetery, Paxton Ridge, Walton. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lyle Paxton Cemetery Fund, c/o Poca Valley Bank, P.O. Box 56, Walton, WV 25286. on December 8, 2010.3

Blanche Edith Hively was buried at Oak Grove Church Cemetery, Kanawha Head, Upshur Co., West Virginia.2 She was born on September 26, 1921 at Walton, Roane Co., West Virginia.1,2 As of August 6, 1936,her married name was Elmore.2,3 She married Perry French Elmore, son of Joseph Howard Elmore and Ida Belle Anderson, on August 6, 1936 at Roane Co., West Virginia.1,2,4,3,5 Blanche Edith Hively died on August 13, 2004 at Buckhannon, Upshur Co., West Virginia, at age 82.2 She Blanche E. Elmore, 82, of 302 Nona St., Buckhannon, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at her home. She was born Sept. 26, 1921, at Walton, the daughter of the late Clinton Mayford Hively and Eva E. Patrick Hively. On Aug. 6, 1936, she was married to Perry French Elmore, who died on Nov. 17, 1987. Surviving are four sons, David Elmore and wife, Ann, of Rock Cave, Don Elmore and wife, Debbie, of Buckhannon, Joe Elmore and wife, Marlene, of Rock Cave, and Kenneth Elmore and wife, Connie, of Ravenswood; four daughters, Betty Cinalli and husband, Danny, of Buckhannon, Norma McDaniels of Bartow, Mary Perry and husband, Arnett, of Buckhannon and Barbara Wade and husband, Darrell, of Liverpool; one brother, Emmit Hively of Ft. Myers, Fla; three sisters, Dessie Brisendine of Walton, Wilma Jean Lambert of Clendenin and Thelma Summers of Walton; 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Wayne Elmore; and several brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith. Friends were received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services were at 11 a.m. today. The Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiated and interment followed at Oak Grove Church Cemetery at Kanawha Head. on August 16, 2004.2
