He served in the United States Army form March 7, 1943 until March 1, 1946, when he was honorably discharged. He was married to Miss Lois Blanch Osbourn on Jun 19, 1949, and to this union one son was born, Harry Sherman Kelly, III. Harry was a member of the Houston Methodist Church, having served on the Offical Board for three years. He was a stewart in the Church when he died. He was active in scouting and at one time serves as scout master. He was a member of the Houston Lions Club and was active in many civic projects. He was also a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Harry was accidently shot while on a deer hunting trip on November 6, 1953. He is survived by his wife, Lois; his son, Harry Sherman Kelly III; his mother, Mrs. Bessie Kelly; one sister, Mrs. Louis Fiquet, of St. Joseph, Mo; two grandmothers, Mrs. Cora Williams of Houston and Mrs. Matt Kelly of Raympndville; also three aunts, one uncle and several cousins. Funeral services were conducted at the Houston Methodist Church by Rev. J. R. Halbrook on Sunday afternoon, November 8. He was assisted by Rev. H. E. Trevathan, pastor of the church. Pallbearers were: Marshall Mires, Bill McCaskill, Joe Richardson, Norman Parker, David ImpeyJr., and Albert Lybyer. Honorary pallbearers were: John Houston, Fred Dablemont, Nolan Hutchinson, John Paulson, Ronald White, Guy Akins Jr., Lynn Martin and Winfred McKinney. Burial was in the Houston cemetery with Elliot's of Houston in charge. on November 12, 1953.6

Kathleen graduated Houston High School 1943, Christian College (Columbia College) in Columbia Missouri in 1945 with an AA degree, then completed her BS in Education from University of Missouri in 1947. Kathleen known to her students as "Kelly" was a Physical Education teacher from 1947 to 1952. She taught at Central High School, and Hosea School both located in Saint Joseph Missouri. In 1951 Kathleen married Louis A. Fiquet Jr. and they bought the Mumford & Hanna insurance agency, which became Fiquet Insurance and Realty, later known as McWilliams, Burnham, Dickens and Fiquet Independent Insurance Agents of St Joseph, MO. The Williams-Kelly-Fiquet families of Texas Couny have been in property management for over a hundred years. Kathleen had a life-long love of fixing up old rental houses. She loved to envision older properties revitalized. She was also the owner of Fiquet Farm and Realty, Peoples Home and Savings, Kelly Home Decorations and Horseshoe Lake Sports Complex. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Saint Joseph Missouri, Saint Joseph Country Club and Junior League. Kathleen was an avid golfer and spent much of her time on the green or in the back yard teaching her grandchildren the proper swing. Kathleen was also a member, past president and board member of the Missouri Women's Golf Association for 20+ years. She won many women's regional golf tournaments and placed first in the Women's Saint Joseph Regional Golf tournament twice. Kathleen was an active member in the St. Joseph Junior League and portrayed the much loved pixie-like character "Bobby Buttons" before many of the plays performed by the Junior League for children of the St. Joseph schools. Kathleen is survived by children and spouses Dr. Louis A Fiquet III and Jeanne of Bevier, Mo., son Marc L. Fiquet, St. Joseph, Mo., and daughter Renee Fiquet-Freeman and Mark , Sedalia, Mo. She is survived by 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren. Stone, age 91, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully in her home in Placentia, California surrounded by her family on September 29, 2015. DeAun was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Aubrey C. McElroy and Hazel Marie (Jett) McElroy on February 5, 1924. She was raised and educated in Kansas City graduating from Westport High School in 1941. Following graduation from high school, DeAun worked for the telephone company as an operator and then in 1942 during WWII, she went to work at North American Aviation in Kansas City, Mo. It was at North American Aviation that she met the love of her life, Max Murrah Stone, and they were married on January 16, 1943, a marriage that lasted over 50 years. Shortly after they were married, Max enlisted in the United States Air Force and DeAun followed Max to several air bases where he was stationed including Denver, Colorado, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Lincoln, Nebraska, where she would always find a job either on the base or in the local town. After WWII ended, DeAun and Max returned to make their home in Kansas City, Mo., and their daughter, Norma, was born in January 1946. DeAun and Max also had a son, Jerry Stone, from Max's previous marriage. In the early years of their marriage, DeAun was a housewife while Max went to work at General Motors Corporation in Kansas City. In 1954, General Motors transferred Max to California to work at the South Gate, California plant and DeAun and Max bought a home in Fullerton, California and later in Placentia, California. During the ensuing 36 years, DeAun worked for a dentist, J.C. Penney, Hughes Aircraft, and for 23 years at California State University, Fullerton as a Supervising Library Assistant III retiring in April 1985. DeAun and Max remained active in their retirement years by spending wonderful times with their family and friends and traveling throughout the United States, Mexico, Spain and Portugal. DeAun and Max were always active in their various Lutheran churches both in Kansas City and California. DeAun's mother, Hazel Marie McElroy lived with DeAun and Max for over 32 years. In December 1990, DeAun and Max and her mother moved back to the Kansas City area and bought a home in Leawood, Kansas where they spent several enjoyable years with their family members. DeAun's husband, Max, died in August 1993 and she and her mother returned to Placentia, California in June 1994. DeAun will be remembered for her independent spirit, loving and caring devotion to her family and friends, dedication and professionalism to her work, and her wonderful sense of humor. DeAun was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of over 50 years, Max. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Lee (Stone) Morris of Placentia, California, her son, Jerry Stone (Carole) of St. Peters, Mo., 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson, her sister, Beverly Rick (Robert) of Apple Valley, California, her brother-in- law, Gene Poynter of Mound City, Mo., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A private Celebration of Life Memorial and graveside burial for family and close friends will be held in Kansas City at D.W. Newcomers & Sons Floral Hills Funeral Home, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. on Monday, October 12, 2015 at noon. on October 7, 2015.2
