He was born February 3, 1947 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Monford L. and Betty L. Lake Sine. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jane A. Daniels Sine. Roger was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Grafton. He was a 1965 graduate of Rivesville High School, where he was recognized in the all-state band in 1963 and 1965. He obtained his Associates Degree in Nursing from Fairmont State College in 1978, his Bachelor of Science from Fairmont State College in 2000, and his Masters in Science and Nursing from Ball State, Muncie IN in 2004. Roger retired in 2011 from the Westmoreland County Cardiology in Greensburg, PA as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. He had previously worked at Fairmont General, Consultant Associates and Monongalia General as an RN. Prior to nursing, he worked with the WV Department of Transportation as an inspector, with Consol Energy as a coal miner, and with Plum Construction in Fairmont. Roger was well known over the years for his drum playing in many entertainment bands around Fairmont. He previously taught Sunday school at the Church of the Good Shepherd for many years. He loved his daily feeding of squirrel, birds and deer, and was an avid reader. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jane A. Daniels, of Point Marion; sons, Christopher and his wife Laura Sine, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Jonathan Sine and his fiancée Jodi Newlon, of Grafton, WV; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Isabelle, Hayden, Zachary, and Gabriel; sister, Rhonda L. Moore, of Rivesville; and nephew, Matthew Moore, of Rivesville. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Fairmont, WV.3 He was born on February 3, 1947 at Fairmont, Marion Co., West Virginia.3,4 He married Jane Ann Daniels, daughter of Charles Lindberg Daniels and Rev. The Rev. Loudin was a minister and was ordained at Duke University. He served as a Methodist minister in Lewis County, Mannington and Logansport. He then served as the minister of the Plum Run Baptist Church. He became an independent minister serving the Messiah’s Mission in Mannington until his health no longer permitted it. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War and served two tours of duty. He was employed at Jennings Gum as a heavy equipment operator and also for Barber Coal Co. for several years. He worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways and served as a deputy sheriff in Lewis County from 1969-71.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Randolph County. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and telling jokes. He loved to be around people. Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, from 2 p.m.to 9 p.m. Saturday and on Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday officiated by Ron Ashcraft. Burial will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery at Grafton.
