     Samuel Lewis Jarrett was buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Citrus Co., Florida.^2,4 He married Edna Sorrells.² Samuel Lewis Jarrett was born on August 20, 1931 at Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana.^5,2,4 He married Ina Mae Unknown circa 1953.^2,6 Samuel Lewis Jarrett died on October 18, 2012 at Amarillo, Potter Co., Texas, at age 81.^5,2 He Samuel Lewis Jarrett, 81, formerly of Inverness, now residing in Fritch, Texas, died Oct. 18, 2012, at Childer's Place under Hospice care in Amarillo. Sam was born Aug. 20, 1931, in Anderson, Ind., to the late George and Mary (Riggsby) Jarrett. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict, and retired after 26 years of active and reserve service. He was a district manager for Sumter Electric Company for 15 years. Sam joined the Rotary Club of Inverness in 1974 and remained a member for more than 20 years, serving as president during the 1991-92 Rotary year. He received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow Award in March 1992. He also was a member of the First Christian Church of Inverness. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edna (Sorrells) Jarrett, Fritch, Texas; two sons, Jonathan L. Jarrett, Fritch, Texas, and Timothy L. Jarrett and wife, Laurie, Inverness; one grandson, Jonathan S. Jarrett and his wife, Kathie; and one great-grandchild, Kimber Mae Jarrett. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Ina Mae Jarrett, in 2003. Sam's life will be honored at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at First Christian Church of Inverness. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. on October 21, 2012.²

Born in Prairie, Ind., she came here 24 years ago from Rushville, Ind. She was a retired high school and elementary school teacher with the Hamilton County School System with 37 years of service. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Inverness and was an active volunteer with the Family Resource Center. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Samuel L; two sons, Jonathan L., Ocala, and Timothy L., Inverness; two sisters, Mildred Jester, Spring Port, Ind., and Carrie Marie Shores, Muncie, Ind; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.      Hugh James "Jim" Finnegan was buried at Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, Madison Co., Alabama.² He was born on April 6, 1924 at Wilmington, New Castle Co., Delaware.^3,4 He married Madalynne May "Lynne" Gearheart, daughter of Peter Motton "Whitey" Gearheart and Mary Emma Powell, on June 4, 1949 at Jefferson Co., Alabama.^1,3 Hugh James "Jim" Finnegan Hugh Finnegan, died Aug. 14, 2003. Hugh James "Jim" Finnegan, 79, passed away Thursday. Jim was a charter member of Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church. He served aboard the LST 34 for 3 years during World War II. He retired from federal civil service with 38 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters and one nephew, all of Delaware. He is survived by his wife, Lynn; two sons, Pat (Jan) of LaGrange, Ga. and Mike (Linda) of Meridianville; four grandsons, Joey, Brian, Shawn and Colby; granddaughter, Kelley Lynn and two good golf buddies, Wade and Jerry, who made retirement a joy. on August 14, 2003.⁵ He died on August 14, 2003 at Alabama at age 79.⁵

     Sylvia Ann Sodder was buried at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^4,2 She was born on March 5, 1942 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.² As of April 19, 1963,her married name was Paxton.³ She married Grover Howell Paxton, son of Ira Lee Paxton and Viva Gillenwater, on April 19, 1963 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,4,2,3 Sylvia Ann Sodder died on April 21, 2021 at West Virginia at age 79.² She Sylvia Sodder Paxton, 79, passed away on April 21, 2021 at her home after a long illness. Born March 5, 1942, in Fayetteville, WV, she was the daughter of George and Jennie Sodder. Sylvia was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. She attended West Virginia Institute of Technology, where she met the love of her life, Grover Paxton, who preceded her in death. She joked often about her coveted "MRS" degree from WV Tech. Sylvia was unsurpassed as a wife and a mother. She filled her children's lives with scotch tape and construction paper, warm cookies, books, and unbounded love. She encouraged her children to dream big, work hard, and care deeply. Sylvia was the master of her kitchen, where she perfected both the Italian dishes of her mother and country cooking of her mother-in-law. Sylvia's green thumb was enjoyed by the entire neighborhood. Most of all, Sylvia had an infectious laugh and a delightful sense of humor. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra Tucker of Charleston; one son, Grover Eric Paxton and his wife Elisabeth, of Richmond, VA; one daughter, Jennie Paxton Henthorn and her husband Marshall, of St. Albans; and two grandchildren, William Paxton and Andy Henthorn, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her sweet granddaughter, Sylvia Paxton; her brothers John (Margaret) Sodder, Joe (Louise) Sodder, and George (Elsie) Sodder; and her sister Mary Ann (Robert) Crowder. Five other siblings were unable to be located following a fire that occurred in December 1945 in their Fayetteville home: Maurice, Martha, Louis, Jennie, and Betty. A family graveside service will be held at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. on April 23, 2021.²
