Her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews were her biggest pride. She was Mama Pat to them all. Nothing gave her more pride and joy like "her kids." Pat's favorite thing was to be part of the Choir at church. She truly loved to sing. Pat follows her deceased nephew, Timothy Habeck to her eternal home. Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 47 years, Dennis Collins; her mother, Judy Shelton; aunt, Angie Dillon; siblings, Dolly Habeck (Sidney), Johnnie Shelton, and David Shelton (Sue); nieces and nephews, Laura Simmons (Shae), Aimee Rigney, Matthew Habeck (Ashley), Jonathan Shelton, Steve Shelton, Rose Cawley, and Amber Habeck (Josh); great-nieces and nephews, Natalie Yates (Walker), Emaleigh Habeck (Austin), Layla Habeck, Wyatt Simmons, and Liam Habeck (They were all "Pat's kids"); a multitude of cousins and other relatives; and her pup, Bella, who stayed by her side. The family wishes to thank her special caregivers for their tender care and support. A special thanks to Hospice Nurse, Alice, for the love and care you gave Pat during her illness. Burial will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Park. on September 8, 2023.²

     Georgia Murch CHESAPEAKE – Georgia Murch (Ryder) Collins, 88, a former longtime resident of Deerfield Crescent passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. She was born on June 21, 1928 in Maine to the late Harland and Carrie Murch; and was a former member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Portsmouth, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard S. Collins. She is survived by her two daughters, Sally J. King and her husband John of Moyock, NC and Shari D. (Ryder) Reidnour and her husband Larry of Newport News, VA; and three grandchildren, Andrea Henry, Melissa King and Ryan Barker.      Shelly Danielle Fernkas HILL, Shelley D., 34, of Valrico, Fla., passed away June 19, 2007. She was born in Virginia and had resided in the Brandon, Fla. area most of her life. She was an avid reader who enjoyed journaling and photographing her three beautiful children. She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Fernkas; and her grandmother, Grace Weaver. She is survived by her husband, Joel; son, Nicholas; son, Hunter; daughter, Kylie; mother Darlene Fernkas; brother, Byron Fernkas; mother-in-law, Barbara Clement; and many other family and friends.
