Jimmy Wilson Robertson Jimmy Wilson Robertson, Sep 21, 1937 – Jun 12, 2026. Jimmy W. Robertson of Salem passed away at the age of 88, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and devotion to family and community. Born in New Castle, Virginia, Jimmy spent most of his life in Salem following his service in the United States Army, where he was stationed in South Carolina. After completing his military service, he built a successful career with Dominion Bank, remaining there until his retirement. Retirement marked the beginning of one of Jimmy's most cherished roles-that of devoted grandfather. Alongside his beloved wife, Peggy, he helped raise and nurture his grandchildren, faithfully attending Parks & Recreation practices and games, school sporting events, and dance recitals. His presence, encouragement, and unwavering support were gifts that his family will treasure forever. Jimmy was deeply committed to serving his community. He served several terms on the Salem Planning Commission and was a faithful member of Ridgewood Baptist Church, where he served as Chairman of the Deacons. Known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others, Jimmy loved working with his hands, caring for his lawn, and cheering on Salem High School sports teams.
