     Wendy Rena Furrow Wendy Furrow Clements, age 59 of Rocky Mount was born October 13, 1964. Her Heavenly Father called her home on February 10, 2024 while being surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Murray and Thelma Furrow; brother, Jimmy Lee Furrow (Juanita). She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Robert Clements of 29 years. Also surviving is her sister, Bonnie Taylor (Kenny); nephews and nieces, J.L. Furrow (Mary), Darrell Manning (Melissa), Tracy Ayers, Tina Cundiff and a special friend, Pam Harmon. Others left to cherish her memory are numerous family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her fur babies and her companion Reece. Wendy was a kind hearted, wonderful woman who loved her family deeply. In turn they truly adored her and are very blessed to have had her in their lives, she will be greatly missed. She was a member of Fincastle United Methodist Church, Past Matron of Botetourt Chapter No. 135 Order of the Eastern Star and Williamson Road Chapter No. 119 OES now merged with Hillcrest Chapter No. 159 OES. She also served the Eastern Star as Assistant Lecturer. Phyllis was a DeMolay Mom to the Roanoke Valley Chapter Order of DeMolay where she was known for her tasty cheese ball that the boys affectionately named the Phyl Ball. She graduated from William Fleming High School, attended Madison College and has degrees from VWCC. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Pendleton; her parents, Emory and Vivian Haga; and mother-in-law, Domna Pendleton. Phyllis is survived by her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Art Pendleton; son, Christopher Lee (Erin) Pendleton, and their children, Ella, Ryan, and Noah Pendleton all of Ashburn, VA; sister, Mary P. Haga of Faber, VA; father-in-law, John W. Pendleton; brother-in-law, James (Debbie) Pendleton of Roanoke; sister-in-law, Marion (Wayne) Meador of Blue Ridge; nephews, Lynn Meador, Bryan (Beth) Meador, Alan Meador, Andrew (Jennifer) Pendleton, Tommy (Laura) Pendleton, and Jonathan (Katie) Pendleton; and numerous special friends from Church, Masonic Family and VMI Family. Phyllis was a loving wife, a dedicated and inspiring mother and grandmother who exemplified her faith with her unconditional love and acts of kindness. She was also the co-founder of Pop and Granny Camp. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Amelia Rau, and a brother, John Rau. Mr. Rau was survived by his wife of 56 years, Iva B. Rau of Roanoke; one daughter, Ruth Ann Rau of Vinton; two sisters, Grace Tkalec of Gerard, Ohio, Amelia Lowe of Detroit, Mich; one brother, Dan Rau of Seminole, Fla. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2000, in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with the Dr. William Burrough officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel. on December 11, 2000.4
