     Josephine Theresa "Honey" "Joe" Monseur was buried at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Cloverdale, Botetourt Co., Virginia.³ Her Social Security Number was 224-34-3055.⁵ She was born on August 12, 1928 at Roanoke, Virginia.^2,5,3,4 She married Samuel Calvin Wilson, son of Raymond Samuel Wilson and Sarah Jane Harman, on April 7, 1958 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,6,2,7 As of April 7, 1958,her married name was Wilson.² Josephine Theresa "Honey" "Joe" Monseur died on August 22, 1996 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 68.^1,5,8,3 She WILSON, Josephine Monseur, of Roanoke, affectionately called "Honey" or "Joe" by family and friends, passed away at her home, Thursday, August 22, 1996, from Non-Hodgin's Lymphoma Cancer. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A life-long residence of Roanoke, she graduated from St. Andrews Catholic High School. She worked for many years in restaurants as a waitress, including her cousin's restaurant, the old George's Drive-in on Walnut Ave, her cousins' restaurant, the old Trade Winds on Franklin Rd., and the old Kenny's Fast Food restaurant on Williamson Rd. She last worked at Shoney's on Hershberger Rd., retiring in 1991. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Mrs. Wilson was pre-deceased by her parents, Solomon and Elizabeth Ellis Monseur, of Roanoke, and her oldest sister, Mrs. Mary Authur, of Portsmith, Ohio. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Samuel C. Wilson, a U.S. Forest Service retiree; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol T. Wilson-Bunn and James C. Bunn II, Falls Church, Va., Angela M. Wilson, Roanoke, and Sarah W. Cook and Ronald A. Cook, Roanoke; one grandson, Samuel A. Cook; one granddaughter, Carly J. Cook; two sisters, Marie M. Turner and Mae K. Monseur, both of Roanoke; one brother, Solomon Monseur, Granite, N.C; a number of nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and other kind, caring relatives, friends and neighbors. The Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 26, 1996 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, with Father Randy Rule officiating. There will be no viewing or reception at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Roanoke Catholic School Fund, P.O. Box 11926, Roanoke, Va. 24002, or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 554, Roanoke, Va. 24003. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 1996 at Oakey's North Chapel. on August 24, 1996.¹
