Investigating officers said he was sitting in a chair in the bedroom, a shotgun with one shell discharged under the bed at his feet. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Claudie Hughes Vest of Roanoke; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Vest of Floyd County; and three a sisters, Mrs. L. C. Vest and Mrs. W. B.
